Just finishing this, it's a Yuba Mundo with a Tongsheng TSDZ8.

After numerous front & rear hub motor conversions, this is my first mid motor

It's a 48v 20ah battery.
Front and rear lights are linkbest brand, and they both have lights to the side, so should be pretty visible. They run off the main battery. I've got a separate switch on the handlebars, but you should be able to switch them through the display. I've also mounted a small horn but it's pretty pathetic so will probably get changed.
I made a little torque arm for the motor to hopefully hold it in place.
The sidebars/running boards were needing painted, and I've a few tins of RAL2004 orange from machines, so that was the chosen colour!

Seems good so far!

The display is an M58, which is okay
It's not always very easy to read in daylight (with the brightness turned right up).
And there's no indication for the brake sensors on it, so you can't see what they're doing. To set them up I actually got another bike right alongside and plugged the sensors in to that to set the gap.

That'll be a chunk cheaper than the official electric version, £3499 and up.

If you don't already have them, 4 piston brakes are worthwhile if you plan to carry heavy loads, and the Maguras used by many of the cargo bikes have thicker pads for longer life in heavy use.

Yep, I got the bike 2nd hand.

It's got Shimano 4 piston brakes, with magnet brake sensors.

I've got Magura brakes on another cargo bike, advantage with them is you can get levers with proper sensors - they work really well.

Yes a converted anologue cargo with mid drive is certainly a cheaper steed then the full on E version and to boot none of the canbus or handshaking involved between components.
My Kona Ute with TSDZ2 cost me approx. £1400 including making my own molicell p42 battery.
