  1. Thank you! Yes, the complete turbine, gen & battery can be under 10kg. I'm letting the scouts take one to a Jamboree
  2. Hi, Looking for an ebike battery which is proficient in coping with the demands of a regenerative system. The battery should be designed for a regen capable system and provide some overcharge protection. My motor systems are 36V. I have a VESC6 so I can limit the regen voltage. I know... regen on an ebike forum ... controversial. Even more controversial, I'm not going to be cycling the bike when the regen takes place. I'll be using a kite turbine (yes) to turn the wheel for regen while I camp.
  3. I have used a Falco hxm http://www.electricbicycleworld.com/build/ On the very hilly Isle of Harris and throught much of Europe. Steep hills are essential for regen. It's knackering if you set it to regen level 5, you notice nothing but a heavy bike on level 0, I tow my kids along easily with the torque. I only bought it for regeneration. I spin the crank by kite! http://www.instructables.com/id/Enjoy-a-nice-cup-of-kite-powered-tea/?ALLSTEPS
  4. I'm going to offer a ... well. .. unique perspective on this. Short answer YES. An e-bike can be used as a flying wind turbine.
