I was also plagued by punctures on my cube during my daily commute and sods law means its always going to happen when its dark, lashing ice rain and howling wind . I also struggled to get the tyres off but brute force and levers always did the trick. I soon ripped the stock Shwalb tyres off and fitted nobbly maraphon plus and never looked back, not another puncture in 800 miles up to now (fingers crossed)

Watching this thread with interest as I too have stupidly been jet washing my 7 month old 1200m+ cube ebike which gets caked on a regular basis. I do keep the exterior parts well lubed but who knows whats going on inside the motor housing! I've ordered all the bits to start lubing and servicing though.. plus a soft brush for slow boring cleaning lol. On a second note, has anyone considered one of the new neoprene type motor covers that have been popping up online recently? wonder how much they would help to keep crud and water out etc?

Just commuted my ride with some new topeak defender guards and another ultra bright front light. Tested the guards in the pouring rain.. again. Love the bike, never skipped a beat!
