  4. My friend is strapped into the pedals and has difficulty walking the due to the polio but the cycling has helped a lot with leg strength, the throttle workes on the steep hills and road crossing on his trike also he doesn't have too peddle backwards to change gear he hasn't complained of the bike flexing but I will ask him the next time we are out he bought the trike in June and wouldn't be able to do 20mile rids without it
  5. Yes it has three gears it is a front hub motor the three speed internal gears is in the middle it has two chain's and a it has a throttle for the steep sections on the ride the gearing is all he needs and you can change gear will stationery
  6. He got the road version it seams well built and I think he payed under £ 2000 for it he also has tunal vision and now we can escort him from his house he also has a folding three wheeler and a 4 wheeler that have been relegated to the shed as the electric alowes him to go longer distances we go to the Chester green way and the Wirral way
  7. I go out with a friend he is 82 and has had polio all his life and he has bought a jarvik trike went up to York to try it and he loved it, I will be out with him tomorrow we do 20 miles of cycle track it is stable he just has to take it easy on the bends
  8. Thanks for the advice Neath I will unglue the disk of the chain ring and turn it over cheers Andy
  9. I have laced a Q100c into a 700c wheel and I have a KT-LCD 5 display the bike has a Hollowtech crank I glued the pas senser12 magnet disk onto the inner chain ring and the placed the sensor on the down tube and it works fine if I peddle backwards, before I perches a king meter pas sensor is there something I am missing I have played round with the P & C settings and turned the sensor round but it still doesn’t work when peddling forwards, I am wondering if I cut the cable and revers the wiring would that work
  10. PayPal has given me a full refund as I don't think they had any more luck than me dealings with BMS battery , it is a good job I didn't drop the case with PayPal as they were insisting I did before the would send me another motor, I have know ordered a motor from the bike shed in Lincolnshire
  11. Thank for the reply Harry I have been looking at other suppliers and have escalated the dispute as BMS where corresponding out side of paypall I have heard nothing more so it looks like it may be a some time before I re order another motor
  12. thank you for the reply vfr400 we will talk to paypal as BMSB are insisting on use dropping the case before they will send a new motor. we did say we would post on the motor if they pay the postage.
  13. thanks for the reply vfr400 i have put a dispute in and finally got a reply asking me to close down the dispute before they would send out a motor. They also asked if they had another buyer in the UK would i send the motor. I agreed to do that if they pay the postage, i have just had a reply saying that the boss won't send out the motor until i close the dispute, as i won't do this as it is my only safeguard i have as it was only after we opened a dispute we got a reply, so we are at an impasse at the moment.
  14. I still have had no response from BMS about sending the 328 rpm Q100cst motor instead of the 201rpm that I ordered I take it this is there usual response when they get it wrong is to blank you, looks like I will have to look for an alternative motor from another supplier
  15. thank you for the reply the two battery i have at the moment are 36v German made i had them made for my other two conversions, the 1st one was for a yose kit i put on a trek fx, the 2nd was for a tsdz2 motor, that i tried on the James but couldn't get the chain line right with the back derailleur i and put it on a fixe frame i married it to a nexus 8 speed hub for gearing, i did not think about battery voltage but i liked the size of the motor and you have got me thinking about making a softback 48v battery to put in the saddlebag i have, i have been looking at spot welders for a will, the k-tek one looks interesting unless you have one you would recommend that is better , also could you tell me the number of battery s i would need for a 48v battery pack. thanks once more for the reply i did use you and other on this forum when building the yose conversion and you were very helpful then cheers from hilly north wales ( i have emailed them at bms and i am waiting for a reply, i paid with paypal and i did specified 201 motor) Andy
  16. I ordered a Q100cst from BMS. I requested the 201rpm motor but they have sent the 328rmp motor I am lacing it into a Mavic Open Elite Rim to use on a James quest road bike I have, the question I would like to ask is do I use the motor they have sent.
