Hi, I have a Wisper 905SE. I bought from the New Forest store, quite some years ago. It still runs well and the original battery still holds a charge, mostly. I love this bike, and would like to do some plug and play upgrades. It has the original off road button etc. What’s the best options , new controller, better motor etc. I know there is another thread around this, something more granular would be good. Thanks!

For Sale is my little used (never in the wet) Powabyke 24 Speed Commuter bike. It comes with Suspension forks and a high end Lithium Battery that cost £350 - this gives the same range as the Lead Acid Battery that I will also include. It comes with both chargers. Its in excellent condition and has been very little used - about 30 miles on the new Lithium battery, about 200 miles on the old lead acid. £450! Got my Wisper 905SE too Got my Wisper from New Milton the other week - picked it up as I live nearby. Put it together without instructions - a relatively simple process. Still got to fit the computer etc - what is the diameter of the wheel? Love the bike - rode it to work and back today. No problems with hills - in fact its faster than my 24 speed commuter up hill. Passed a few other cyclists - one lycra clad- whilst enjoying a cigarette! Cant get over what a quality bike this is, only one issue - the left rubber hand grip is loose and I have to keep pushing it back on. Excellent dealings with the company - all in all one of the best things Ive ever purchased! Also just bought an ALMAX lock - as these cannot be bolt cropped - check out their wall of shame! very interesting - another nice company to deal with - even gave me free postage! Thanks Thanks David, I have a deposit down on one - visited your New Milton shop and had a ride on the 905SE - its a great bike, went with my family its a nice place for a shop, things for the kids to do, animals to look at or chase as in my 19 month old daughters case! Happy with my Commuter Shame about your problem with the bike. Ive had no problems with mine so far. Peformance was fine with the old lead acid battery - Ive ridden it everywhere in top gear even up Portsdown hill and several other hills around the Portsmouth area. Performance is good with the new lithium battery too. The only annoying thing about the bike is the ridiculous freewheel noise - makes me feel kinda embarrased at times! Is there a mod to stop this? I hate it! If I had known about the new Powabykes coming out I may not have bought the Lithium!

Took delivery of my new Lithium Battery yesterday. Tried the bike out (24 Speed Commuter) tonight so much different. Very much lighter (the bike)- easier to pick up and move around. Great ride - check the picture - Ive replaced the tractor seat saddle too! Going to put some different mudguards on too. The bike doesnt look so fuddy duddy now! in my opinion! Decided to keep the bike - got a good local dealer, so they can get any parts I may need etc. I was toying with buying another bike but decided to keep it - it hasnt let me down and I kind of like it - in a rugged sort of way! http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn277/griswold_2008/P4230001.jpg

Thanks Thanks - the prices though are £350 for the 20 mile one and £250 for the Lite version - unless you know where I can get it at the £285! I want also want a bike I can take to Center Parcs - cant see the Powabyke fitting easilt on a cycle carrier! Regards
