  1. Here are the pics, as stated currently lace into a 20" rim. I have the controller that can be re-programmed which I could do for you or provide a programming lead for you to play around with it yourself. Probably best continue via PM if you are interested.
  2. I/you could do that I even have a very lightly used black 36 hole one (I will post a picture) which I haven't listed. I have tried it in a 700c wheel but given these are 260RPM I had to programme the controller to slow the RPM right down/keep the current within spec. It then worked perfectly in the 700c rim but I only used it for a few weeks to test as I was going to do it for my daughters new bike. I had relaced it into a 20" wheel as you will see it in the pic but its remained unused. I should still have the spokes for a 700c wheel but would need to buy a new rim. Jerry
  3. One big black wire but inside will be 3 main larger wires and the 5/6 smaller wires a D8veh states. As yours has it all in one plug you wont see them but the plug will have 3 + 5/6 pins if you look at the end of it when unplugged. Jerry
  4. Yes I haven't programmed one yet as still waiting for my motor. There are a LOT of P, C settings etc you can fiddle around with, all in the manual. Make sure you take a note of them BEFORE you change them!.
  5. Not sure what the hub is but that looks like a nice little kit lcd/controller and connection wise From the little I know about recent controllers I think the sin wave one can be smoother and make the motor quieter. I just purchased one from PSWPOWER with d8veh's guidance. Of course you would then probably have to reprogramme the LCD (or buy a new one to go with it) and cut off and reconnect all those lovely plugs! PSWPOWER are VERY fast with dilivery. Another option first, would be to check the programming on your LCD and compare it with theirs ? User mannuals for the LCD3 are on line. Note to self read the posts more carefully they are differnent kits sigh. As you said maybe yours probably has a sinwave controller. Your kit actually looks better than theirs connector wise. Jerry
  6. Hillarious. What about all the health benfits ? My work never paid expenses for daily commute. Jerry
  7. No idea ? I hadn't even noticed that! I guess the only way that could happen is if they shipped it out of Europe ? My tracking showed it came via Hong Kong.
  8. Amazing what's come on the scene whilst I have been away https://hobbyking.com/en_us/xt90-s-anti-spark-connector-2pairs-bag.html I still jump sometimes when I plug in my battery I guess it would mean changing all my connectors from deans plugs which I am not that fond of anyway. I guess the female (green plug) would go on the battery ? Probably over kill for the 10-15amp I ever draw. Jerry
  9. Hi, Now I am getting back into doing conversions I have quite a few spares that need to be cleared from my stock. If I cant sell this stuff here I will put it on ebay without the offers to help with conversions and lace up wheels. Hopefully give something back to the forum if Brompoton owners are looking for a little help adding a kit to their bike. Of course you could wait for the new Brompton solution 1. First up I have all the parts new to convert your Brompton using the popular Tongxin narrow width motor. £200 + p&p. You will need to source a battery or see 4/5. below. Includes built up new Tongxin motor in new 16" Brompton rim, controller, throttle and hidden cutout brake sensor. Closeup of the 36v, 260RPM, 83mm wide, 28h motor which will give you around 15mph assistance. 2. I do have a few unlaced narrow width Tongxin motors, (will convert most 16"-20" bikes with front hub conversion), and controllers. Looking for about £110 plus p&p for brand new motor. Could probably throw in a free "used" specific controller/throttle/cutout as well. You will need to build wheel/connect up controller, battery etc ( unless you want me to help see 4/5 below). 3. KeyDe kit. Full kit small 1.6Kg 36v, 28h, 260RPM front motor (new unused) with "used" controller for pedelec only function, new unused PAS and cutout brake. £150 + p&p. This will take a 16-20" wheel up to 17mph. You could also use a fully programable controller (I have one for £45) for throttle only if you want. I will lace it up for you as per 5 below. 4. I have some older small battery packs A123, 10s1p, 36v, 2.4Ah batteries and chargers which you can have free with any of the above. These are used but still have life in them and probably good if you need to test/do small journeys. I cannot post these, so collection only. 5. If you live near me (Cambridge) now that I am retired, I am happy to maybe help you with your conversion. All the motors are for 16-20" wheels and again happy to build them onto either for about £40 including rim and spokes. Postage would be more than a bare motor obviously. Here are some of my conversions for which there are complete build threads on this forum. I have a spare Brompton umbilical/wiring loom again which I can use to help you if you want my offer of help convert your Brompton. email or pm me if you are interested. I will not post outside the UK as had my fingers burnt with this before Jerry
  10. Found a pdf http://www.bizobike.com/uploads/5/7/0/9/57094291/handleiding-bizobike-kt-lcd3.pdf
  11. Thanks Dave I just tried it and as you state it will come on when connected to my battery. Had a quick look round. This is a nice addition to my throttle only/no LCD conversions of the past. As you say loads of settings which I need to read up about. I hear there is a full PDF file of all the settings. Only plugged the monitor in no throttle etc. I will wait till my motor arrives. I assume in there somewhere I can set max current ? Jerry
  12. Wow PSWPOWER were quick, ordered last Friday and DHL delivered today at 09:30 so 4 days including weekend! Pity the motor has not even left BMS/China yet Things have moved on a bit since I last ordered a controller several years ago. Love the new throttle design. A couple of points. 1. If I plug the controller into a 36v supply will the monitor turn on as I think I read somewhere you have to power a wheel before this will happen ? 2. I can look but is there a diagram of which connector is for which ? Most of them I can figure out like power, three motor wires, LCD etc. Time to play PS I didn't ask them to mark it down but they only declared it as a sample at a cost of $24 so not sure what the charge was for. I guess I will just keep quiet. Ah found the pinout on the website http://www.pswpower.com/upfile/dtpic/2016/3F/39N8.50CQE/44389X_4AUDX.jpg
  13. I have just been through the paces of going through a few Halfords bikes in terms of test rides. Tried a few Boardman and the Voodoo. The problem with light bikes is by the time you put mudguards, racks etc on them a lot the weight savings disappear The Boardman do seem like quite good VFM. Perhaps keep your eye open for a s/h one which is what I did with my Voodoo which I picked up for £84. I immediately swapped out bars, stem, changed to single chain ring and different tyres etc all of which I would have had to do on a new bike. At my age the riding position is always wrong. Jerry
  14. Hey I like these with a bluetooth connection so you can see your battery condition on your phone ? https://bmsbattery.com/bmspcm/833-smart-bms-10s13s-60a-with-blue-tooth-android-or-ios-app.html#/107-cells_in_series-10/17-battery_type-lithium_ion As I said dont bother with BMS but have to say this looks neat. The beauty of being out of the hobby for a little while is there is alot of new stuff/advances around in the just a few years. Regards Jerry
  15. I was planning to start with a 10s6p which I build in 5s3p blocks for easy balancing. My existing Konion packs are built that way and I have two 10s2p and one 10s4p packs I have been using for three years with no BMS and no failed cells. The new 3120mAh cells would effectively give me twice the capacity for half the weight. Thinking about it I probably won't bother with the blocks as mine are all gaffer taped up and shrink wrapped.
  16. Update my DHL delivery from PSWPOWER is scheduled to be delivered today. That was fast! As I said nothing from BMS yet. Jerry
  17. Cheaper than DHL then, but of course they charge more handling fee but in my case haven't yet ? Jerry
  18. This was DHL my BMS order is coming via Parcel Force so it will be interesting to see how different couriers apply charges. I doubt it will be consistant lol Jerry
  19. Dave, but the bill was only £3.79 ?
  20. Might get another bill as according to their website "How much is the Advance Payment / Disbursement I have to pay?An amount of £11.00 or 2.5% of the total Duty and/or VAT incurred, whichever is the greater." We will see
  21. DHL have contacted me about my PSWPOWER order asking me to pay £3.79 custom charges so not sure what they put on the package. I paid £56.67 incl p&p for the controller/LCD. If this is the total charge then that is not bad. In the past I have also had to pay a £7 admin charge, though you never know sometimes you have a bill come through the door later. Said it will be delivered 26th July. Fingers crossed. No news from BMS about shipping yet.
  22. Yes Flecc though I heard that the expansion to the new premises did cause a slight dip in profits, maybe just rumour I don't know. Will Butler-Adams has certainly taken the company forward in terms of expansion and moving into the foreign market. I am not keen on their practises in terms of strict control and treatment of shops that sell their product. I guess its all about profit and maintaining their brand and certainly no one can deny that they have achieved that. Its a great product and they have a sellers market. I paid £400 for my first Brompton in 2009, I think my model retais at £1000 now. Jerry
  23. I was planning to start with a 10s3p which I will build in 5s3p blocks for easy balancing. That would give me 9.3Ah at 1.5kg. My existing Konion packs are built that way and I have two 10s2p, 3Ah and one 10s4p, 6Ah packs I have been using for over three years with no BMS and no failed cells. The new Sony Konion 3120mAh cells would effectively give me twice the capacity for half the weight. Thinking about it I probably won't bother with the blocks as mine are all gaffer taped up and shrink wrapped. Woosh (sorry I forget your name), incremental packs have to be the way forward for flatter terrain riders in the likes of Cambridge. There is just no point in carrying around a 3-4kg pack when a 1kg pack of 6Ah using these cells would get me 25 miles on my Brompton. I think even a 1s, 3Ah, 0.5kg ( I may try one) pack would do me for most rides, though probably restricted to low current draw like my Tongxin. Jerry
  24. Wow you guys are quick off the mark! Just watched the video. Its hard to see what they have done ?? I put a restrained comment on the youtube post lol Maybe everything is in that bag with an umbilical chord ? We will no doubt see. Weights will be interesting. Any sensible conversion will need to be in two parts i.e. bike and bag if the whole ethos of portable is to remain. Jerry
