60 or 80Nm front hub motor
If all settings are ok I'll stick with the current set up without the shunt modification. As per usual the support from Pedelecs is first class, thank you for the great info. Rig the Jig

60 or 80Nm front hub motor
Hi all, may you all have a happy and safe new year. I have a bike conversion with a Yose 36V 20AH battery, a KT LCD5 controller, and a Gen 2 Swytch front wheel hub. I live in a hilly are and find that the motor struggles on the hills, regardless of power setting. Would anybody recommend a stronger motor that would replace the existing Swytch front wheel motor, without any rewiring. Thanks in anticipation. Rig the Jig.

pedal assist settings don't change motor power.
That did the trick, setting P1 to 192 made a big difference. Thanks so much for the great information. How about putting a link up for those that want to replace their swytch battery, controller, and display, but keep the front motor hub. Is that possible ?? Thanks again for all the help, its gold. pedal assist settings don't change motor power.
Hi all, I have a 17A Kt controller, running a 250W front hub motor, with a KT-LCD5 display, and a 20AH battery. The power output from the motor does not change when I change the power setting between 1 and 4. It is probably a programme setting. Can anyone help ?? all items are new except the motor, which is a Swytch .

Switching from swytch
Hi Guys, I have a swytch front wheel, and I'm changing to standard system, I bought a Yose battery, a KT LCD 5 display, a KT 36/48 volt 9 pin motor controller, a 12 magnet PAS, . I programmed the unit with the settings that were posted by a lad changing from Swytch, but keeping the Swytch motor. I programmed all the parameters down to C 14. my problem is I get no motor activatuion when I rotate the pedals, the PAS led flashes ok, I also tried removing the magnets to make a six magnet PAS, still no joy. When I activate the walk assist by holding down the down switch, the motor rotates. any help would be greatly appreciated. Rig the jig.

Motor hall signal abnormality
, The extension nine pin connector I ordered was faulty, so I have an old one that works ok, walk assist is working, but no motor activation when I rotate the pedals, although the LED on the PAS sensor flashes. I don't know where to go from here. I'm using a 12 magnet PAS, I'm thinking of making it a 6 magnet by removing every second magnet.

Motor hall signal abnormality
Thanks for that , I'll do some more checking.

Motor hall signal abnormality
I have a spare 9 pin round connector with cable, that would allow me test the continuity of hall sensors, can they be replaced if faulty, its a bafang hub motor. Would it be possible to buy a sensor board with the sensors on it, that way I could eliminate the sensors as the problem. I need to know what model bafang is fitted to the swytch bike.

Motor hall signal abnormality
Walk assist is now giving error 3 , I have the other parameters set, max speed 25Kms, wheel size 700c, , with the pedal assist connected, I'm getting a flashing led on forward rotation, my next trick is probably to extend battery cables temporarily, and connect the controller in without the extension cable I had to fit. When I spin the motor wheel I'm getting a speedometer reading on the display, if that helps. Rig the jig. The operation manual that came with the display gives no option for setting C1 what am I missing ?? are there hidden menus ??

Motor hall signal abnormality
Hi all, I had a swytch system, I think is was iteration 2 , which I decided to replace with a bigger battery, KT controller, 12 magnet PAS, a twist throttle, and a KT5 lcd display. the only swytch part left is the 250W motor, with a nine pin connector. After assembling all the bits, and using the "walk" function to test the system, error three comes up , "motor hall signal abnormality" Any help would be much appreciated. Update, I heated the motoer cable connections, and the wheel functions on "walk mode", but does not turn when activated by the PAS. I ordered an 8 magnet PAS but received a 12 magnet unit. I'm going to remove half the magnets to see if this will work. Rig the jig.

Can you identify this connector?
HI at the moment I am converting a Swytch bike to a non swytch bike, I have ordered the controller , display, PAS, and throttle, they will be with me in about 4 weeks, then I will have a spare swytch handlebar sectionj with all the connections intact on it. If you are interested I can arrange to send you the handle bar section. Rig the jig.

Converting from Swytch to standard equipment
Would any one pick a kt controller and display, 17A 36V that I could wire in to a swytch bafang sensorless motor with a 9 pin connector, with a PAS sensor, and a throttle control. I bought a controler but the connections are 8pin plus 9 pin motor connection, also no paperwork come with the controller. Any help greatly appreciated.

Converting from Swytch to standard equipment
OK, I attach photos of the two leads, the yellow one I presume is the PAS, and the black connector is an 8 pin .
