  1. They need to adapt and install something like this, painted black on the inside, hide up to collarbone height. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Electric-Cycling-Bike-Canopy-Cover/dp/B0C37FSGGZ?th=1
  2. Ask these dudes in Barking? It'd be ruff if your MCU wasn't compatible, if by "Upgrade" you mean replacing with Open Source Firmware. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/317102556146 For safety, make sure your battery is capable, if intending to increase the controller limit. Hit up details of your battery, cells, BMS etc. for the battery experts.
  3. Before EVERY trip??!? What happens when you don't? Does the angle of the pads change? Mine stay in position until I adjust the brake cable, tightening every so often as the pads wear down. Might be due to extreme nut tightening using my freakish brute strength.
  4. I've set traps to harvest and sell enough kidneys of the homeless, to buy this: https://www.hitachiaircon.com/uk/magazine/what-are-the-benefits-of-heat-recovery-vrf
  5. It wouldn't be constantly consuming 3.5kW when transferring heat from a warm room to another? Should consume less than if cold air was drawn in from outside. Dealbreaker is the noise. Might try one consistently and credibly reviewed as "Quiet" sometime. Trouble is, the quiet ones might not actually be effective, and I don't expect they'd remain quiet for long. I already have to wear a rain poncho, motorcycle helmet and oxygen mask whenever my disgusting neighbours harass me, because of all the spittle spatter, snot spray and clouds of halitosis stench they forcefully explulse, especially when enraged - they hate my extremely loud godawful electric guitar playing, I tell them I hate it too.
  6. Access from underneath? A friend of mine got a free gas cooker from Freecycle, said they were full of them. I thought it was a bit of a crazy thing to do, as they could be free because they've been condemned and the owners simpy didn't want to take the things to the tip themselves, but it turned out to be fine. She died a couple of years ago - heart disease, wasn't death by gas explosion. https://www.freecycle.org/ Free cookers of various types on gumtree too, but you have to be fast if it's free. Low cost or free large kitchen appliances are on ebay often, for pick up only. Filter search by proximity to postcode area, order results by price+P&P. New and refurbished is usually cheaper than from those shops you can't find because they've all but disappeared to reappear online operating from cheapo warehouses in the middle of nowhere. Some of the larger British Heart Foundation charity shops test and sell large kitchen appliances, allow patrons to wantonly fondle and grope with gleeful abandon before buying, but they're not usually bargains.
  7. Do you have a gear sensor installed? That cuts power for a short period of time when I hit very deep potholes, big jolts cause substantial movement of the gear cable. Do you have a link for where you bought the kit from? I'm idly curious about whether yours is UART or CAN bus.
  8. Still working great! Will probably work great for years. I had soldered the variable voltage power supply to the control board contacts for the battery to start with, worked fine, but I noticed the board was quite corroded by water ingress, so bypassed it. These cheapos cost about 50% more than they did a couple of years ago, might be available for less on AliExpress. 3.5V is medium jet, 4.2V for turbo deep clean. Bleeding gums is rotting meat constantly oozing toxic slime into your guts, it's gonna do all kinds of bad dude. eBay UK3-36V 60W Voltage Adjustable Switch Power Supply AC To DC...(Rated power: 60W. Included: 1 X Adapter (+UK plug). Output current: 2A.
  9. I've two of those exact lights on my handbar, plus a larger one of the same shape, all soldered to my 192.Ah battery via two inline fuses (to double the chances of one working) and handlebar multiswitches. They're pointed down at the road, mustn't dazzle - tested on driver mates and they don't. Miles better than any battery powered headlight I've tried, but I've only tried the cheapos.
  10. Alerts: When I'm viewing a thread while logged out, and I see a post I'd like to reply to and log in, I see an alert when I'm viewing the thread I have an alert for - on the old forum that didn't happen. My bug bounty is going to be massive Bitcoin for sure ;-)
  11. Nope, I simply won't be dragging and dropping or copy/pasting images! The rest functions well enough. File size miscalculation doesn't depend on browser and OS.
  12. The calculated size of the images is too large.
  13. I've noticed that I can edit the title of the first post on this thread, but nothing else. Uploading Attachment...
  14. Copied and pasted an image into the post above, now that post isn't editable, even after refershing the page.
  15. I have justnow discovered I can add a post to the locked thread, if I refresh the page. But because I have dragged and dropped the image above, that post is not editable. Uploading Attachment... I refuse to use any Windows later than 7. Works well on this, my old PC. My new PC is for airgapped "AI" projects only. The other ones are for music making and video editing, airgapped. I hate the internet on tablets and phones.
  16. ...and Windows 7 Professional. I hate Win 8, 10, 11, n... p.s. Is there a bug hunter prize? Bitcoin accepted. ;-) Uploading Attachment...
  17. Text is editable. Uploaded the image below using "choose file". Just a problem with dragging and dropping and pasting in images.
  18. Hide option disappears: Uploading Attachment...
  19. And this when trying to edit: Uploading Attachment...
  20. @Pedelecs Admin Posting this here because this post is locked up on this thread: https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/topic/48842-2026-forum-update/page/4/#findComment-761548 I've hidden the failed post on that thread, but can't now make a new post on that thread. Quoted a post. Dragged and dropped an image into that post. Text became inaccessible, see screenshot: Uploading Attachment... When I attempt to edit, all I see is this:
  21. The passenger could be strapped in, an Iceland freezer carry bag would prevent the hot pizza burning ninja lady's lap, save her having to hold it in the air. I'll suggest this important solution to their problem, if I ever see that couple again. Carry Freedoms are so much more robust than child trailers. But they'd also need a seat rain cover to solve the soggy bottom problem, the ninja female was small enough to fit inside the child trailer's waterproof shell.
  22. Thanks @Pedelecs Admin for including a "Hide" feature for posts, I noticed that just now. Dragging and dropping pics causes problems. I'm posting about this here, because I can't make new posts on the "Forum Update" thread. I had quoted a post containing an attachment, and now there is no way to access the text or delete the attachment. I can't even make a new post on the thread. https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/topic/48842-2026-forum-update/page/4/#findComment-761523
  23. Yes user deletable posts please. Would also be useful if what you're trying to edit didn't lock up and the content you're trying to edit didn't disappear and was made inacessible whenever an image is dragged and dropped into a post. Happened just now while I was trying to include a photo of Rapid Fatso in this post: https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/topic/48856-two-up-with-a-pillion/#findComment-761519 And it's still locked. Text isn't visible to edit. However, while trying to drag and drop plus edit text, I discovered all of my previous uploaded pics are accesible from a folder at editing time, which is nice, the old forum didn't have that.
  24. The small ninja woman should help with one of these. The basket is way too small for her gravity defying pizza. https://missioncycles.co.uk/products/piggyback-trailer-trike-20-24 As society devolves and things get increasingly hairy out there, I'll start a pedecab service to hold back the tide. Obviously wheels will need horizontal axle swords like in Ben Hur. My bike can tow either of these sub £1k adult trailers, just wouldn't be safe unless going slow. https://pedicruiser.com/
  25. There I was outside a train station late last night minding my own business, vaping nicotine impatiently waiting for my train to be cancelled for the third time that day.... when all of a sudden, a very large dude on a big ebike rocked up towing a small ninja woman in a child's trailer, carrying a large pizza. I only saw the pizza at first, because she was holding it up above and ahead horizontally and her stealthy arms were invisible in the dark. The max load capacity of kid's trailers isn't much, usually about 45kg, and she looked at least 65kg. Mind you, if my experience of steel framed bike trailers is anything to go by, stated max weight is deffo on the conservative side. I should have snapped a pic but it would have been obvious, besides it all happened rather fast. The big dude dismounted his big ebike, the woman emerged from the trailer dragged by the antigravity pizza, and they all whizzed through the automatic doors towards the platforms. Why ride pillion when you can be towed? There ought to be more adult bicycle trailers, and sensibly priced. In these interesting times descending into the desperately scrabbling bloodthirsty fuel scavenger Mad Max hellverse, our ebikes will be worth fortunes - I only accept bitcoin, bike will be delivered for pickup at GPS co-ordinates in a dense forest of my choosing after your payment clears.
