  6. Why on earth should you or anyone be bothered by some moron saying you are cheating.
  7. Remove the bolt that is easy to get to, that should increase the space to get a standard Allen key in or use the long leg through the hole, then refit the other bolt and tighten.
  8. Sorry if I have diverted the original post.
  9. No wonder cyclists get a bad name, going through lights on red undertaking a bus and cars. Total disregard for anyone. The guy is a complete idiot.

  14. I bought one of these for my Aurora 18 months ago no problems at all. http://eclipsebikes.com/13ah-lithium-frame-battery-samsung-cells-p-1103.html?osCsid=e53ed83456efa5724da31361733bdba8 They also have larger capacity if you need it. I still have an original battery case with keys, BMS and all the internal wiring if it's of any interest to you.
  15. I pedal my ebike everywhere even though it's heavier than a normal bike and only use power by throttle when I need help,70 years young and love it. Plus I get great mileage from a charge.
  16. As a dog owner and e biker I would say both, you for not slowing down and the dog owner for not controlling his dog, it's a situation I come across both ways on a daily basis.
  17. Altering the elbow angle so that the spoke head sits flush against the hub and using a spoke washer, sorted my Aurora which was breaking rear spokes weekly, 3 years on and never a broken spoke since. I am no expert but this worked for me. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwj3xfGc9dTPAhWnB8AKHQZoD_MQFggjMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wheelfanatyk.com%2Fblog%2Fwheel-building-tip-no-8-know-your-spoke-elbows%2F&usg=AFQjCNEgSBdG-5zYAR6KmNgyvT0YJahn3g
  18. Hi. in what manner did the spoke break, was it the threaded portion, the elbow or did the little head pop off the end. I had a number of spokes (10) fail on my Aurora a few months after buying it and they were all caused by the head popping off, I reduced the elbow angle of the spokes so that the head sat more flush to the hub and used a spoke washer, since then no problems. So back to the question, I have a number of rear spokes with nipples brand new which I bought from Jim at Alien, if you need some please let me know.John
  19. Sorry can't help you there. if you run a pos and neg direct to the motor through a switch the bike should run without speed control
  20. I don't know if you are up to this stage yet in your repair. Just confirming that you know you have to be peddling the bike before you get power, the Euro won't move off from stationary unless you can track down one of the dongles that Powabyke brought out towards the end of production, hope this helps. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/POWABYKE-SAKURA-ELECTRIC-BIKE-PEDAL-SENSOR-BYPASS-UNIT-/182257435232
  21. Your title says it all, that's what I say to people who ask me about my bike.
  22. Is your battery an original Aurora battery, photos are from an original battery which does not have any LED lights. The only led's are on the handlebar power on/off, assist level panel. could you post an image of your battery to help clarify what you have.
  23. Photos as promised if you need better ones just ask.
  24. Hi, you can test the motor simply by connecting the 2 motor wires to the battery contacts you wont do any damage because it is a brushed motor. I had one for 5 years with no problems. Have a look here https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=powabyke+wiring+diagram&espv=2&biw=1366&bih=643&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiY2cvIk-rOAhUELcAKHYj3Aa4QsAQIIg
  25. That's a good idea but sadly he carries his bag.
