  1. Im very glad i found that red wire cause i did'nt want to take the motor apart or replace the display....thanks to you all on here for your help.
  2. I looked at the wiring and found the white wire and next to it a red wire which had pulled out of the plug so reconnected the red wire and now the display is working correctly.
  3. Ok i will try what you said...i forgot to mention there is no power shown on the King lcd display.
  4. Thank you both for your replies. This bike has no external sensor or magnet....i would guess the signal must come from the motor to the speed controller...i will take a look for that white wire....also could it be caused by a wire going into the king lcd display ??? also ive noticed when i use the thro ttle on this bike it is very low speed and very slow...so is this ment just for pulling off then to use pedal assist ???
  5. Kudos Sonata not showing my speed......lcd just shows zeros, and there are no error codes displayed...could it be the King lcd or a hall sensor faulty ?? please could anyone advise.
  6. anyone got a photo of the kudos sonata battery
  7. Does the battery pack use 2 pin and can you give me a link to a battery that will work with this bike.
  8. I have just bought a Kudos Sonata ebike without a battery...can anyone tell me what battery i need and product number also charger info.
  9. All i remember is that the mosfet was shorted gate to drain...and i found no wires touching.
  10. When i first looked at the display the power switching transistor was short circuit...so i replaced it and new transistor got burning hot !!! i cant believe the supply voltage to this display would be at the 36V battery voltage !!! it surely would be regulated down to a much lower voltage.......without a schematic it makes fault finding that much harder !!!! how can i give you info that i do not have as i know very little history of the item !!! maybe it received a reverse polarity ???
  11. The chips have no markings on them as they were covered in resin and getting the resin off has taken off the code numbers of the chips.
  12. The circuit is drawing an excessive amount of current and two of the chips are showing shorts across several of the pins !!! if not over voltage then it must be reverse polarity.
  13. Thanks for that...ive had to order the tool from ebay and comes from China .....to remove the sleeve nut is it clockwise ???
