  1. trev started following KTM Bike Industries UK
  2. yes, got a full refund eventually. the dealer was suitably embarrassed about it
  3. Tried it! But the water seeped in behind the unit. Silicon sealant would prob have done the trick, but as the unit is designed to be removable, this would have been a security risk. Just bad design
  4. Still no sign of a replacement wheel for my erace P650. Over two months now. Will KTM ever send a replacement wheel????? I'll be sure to keep everyone informed.
  5. Hi Col, I've not received any emails from you, so not sure if you've the correct email address for me. No sign of the wheel arriving at the dealer yet - is it on its way? I'll email as well so you have my correct email address. Cheers, Terry
  6. Thanks Col, much appreciated. I can confirm, the hub is definitely physically kaput - complete with shards of metal coming out of it, won't turn - the dealer said you'd mentioned a software update - I promise you that ain't gonna fix it! I'm hoping to do the south downs way this side of Christmas on it, what do you think are my chances? All the best. T
  7. Thanks for the rapid response Tom and Col. I appreciate your wanting to help, but in the 7 weeks since this was raised, someone could just about have walked from Austria with the hub. I'm wondering if it'd be quicker if I drop in on the factory next time I'm in the area - I'm sure they must have one or two knocking about over there.
  8. Brief update on my lovely KTM erace P650, bought in June 2013. It gave about 1500 miles excellent service. Superb hill climbing, well balanced, decent range - overall a magnificent bike, and hugely better in every way to my previous ebike, the BH emotion Neo Cross, which really didn't like rain. Sadly the KTM's Panasonic motor destroyed itself about two months ago. Col at FLI was helpful, saying the warranty remains valid even though the shop I bought it from went out of business, and I'm sure he shares my frustration that after two months we seem to be no nearer getting a replacement, leaving my beautiful bike uselessly stuck in the garage. I don't suppose anyone knows of any spare Panasonic hubs lying around (doesn't need to be new)?
  9. Well, I Have ridden a neo - owned one for 5 weeks, half of which it's been in for repairs which are so wide ranging it's not worth mentioning, except one problem that's occurred three times, namely water ingress into the control unit, rendering the bike unusable except in the lightest rain. Not a one-off as I'm on my third unit, which failed in today's rain, stranding me miles from home once again. Unbelievably bad design, manufacture or both. Beautiful bike, great ride. Utterly dreadful reliability, which of course wouldn't show on a brief test in the dry.
  10. The BH Neo are great bikes - but make sure you don't ride them in the rain as there's a good chance you'll be cycling home without assistance!
