martin, another brilliant idea. its a cash thing though-dont mind spending it. do mind wasting it. will bikes be for sale there and able to be purchased (with credit card / cheque) then and there. if not, sure i could see the bikes but shucks its more expenditure without end result.

i kind of get where you are coming from. unfortunately ive allready spent a nice little bit of money on a train trip down to London area to try a few ebikes . i simply cannot afford to haemorrhage cash that will come about with my travelling all over the country without end result. also my apologies but the price is too expensive- i was looking at 2.5 tops. i made a mistake in that i should have really added onto my original bike thread where i gave my limit.

cheers martin that is appreciated. situation i am in right now is that i am looking for a 2013 ebike, mountain or rough mountain bike appearance style with the new bosch system so it has the remote finger operation away from the main display. now lots of ebikes look interesting and first few replies i got, said not available until april..well ive now acccepted april so it should open up quite a few ebikes. im trying to stick with electrifying cycles because they were recommended by wissy in this thread. i did want the nuvinci with harmony option but looking at the velospeed site and their moustache bike, it is 300 pounds more expensive than a similar 9 speed bike with the Harmony being OPTIONAL on top of that. so a 2013 bike being advertised at a higher price but without its main perk. corr this ebike buying (and selling) world is very interesting. @electrifyingcycles great stuff as regards getting it in. i dont understand that 3rd sentence though-can you elucidate/extrapolate pretty please? also ,yes please i would like a few photos, may i call them general photos of the bosch device on a cross seen from different angles . not after detailed photos, im after getting an idea of how it looks on the ebike not how it looks. many many thanks.

lol not necessary, all i requested was a few photos of the new bosch display and remote finger device on the cross so i could see how it looks on a maker of ebike that at that time i am interested in as i cannot make it to cromer and photos are better than nothing..you see the internet is great for shopping for what you know about and then purchasing as its cheaper than the high street. when items arent that common as in down the high street, you have to rely on photographs and user reviews when internet shopping. when items have perks and advantages to them, they become a selling point, something which helps sell the bike..ktm bike looks interesting, new bosch looks interesting, hmm wonder what they look like together, but i allready said that..all i am is a customer about to put his hand in his pocket. @electrifying cycles you never said, will you be getting the ebike (KTM Machina Race 26inch wheel with 48 frame) ANYWAY or will it need ordering in specially?

very very nice. that is the first that ive seen mounted on a proper bike (i think)- theres a vid on youtube with it on demo handlebars being shown off by bosch at what i presume is an ebike show which was the closest that ive seen before this vmt for that andy. hopefully electrifying can provide some thunder with piccys of the ktm cross with it mounted shown from different angles so i can see if it looks carbunklish or if it seems tight together on the handlebars,etc hehe, i got a happy smile on my face finally seeing the thing. once again ,thanks andy

Not seen one fitted yet on a UK sold e-bike let alone a KTM e-bike like the Cross which well its a mtb so other than the colour i can pretend its a Macina Race. Sorry, also did you say if you would be getting the Macina Race 26 with 48 frame in anyway at the date you said it was available from?

Sounds good, so i am definitely interested in the KTM MACINA RACE 26 with 48 frame. Will you be getting it in anyway. Also its the Bosch Motor ,400 battery and display with seperate finger operation which really interests me and as you have it on the Cross, any chance you can post a few piccys to whet my appetite. Thats great info thanks. Not that long a wait. My height is 5'11. Unfortunately i dont have a tape measure at hand but my trouser inside leg is 29 inches so what add a few inches on that down to the floor-just thought id mention that to say my legs arent on the long side. As regards the 26 or 29...lol decisions, decisions. Not too fussed. Would love to say yes i want the bike for speed or for comfort but unfortunately it will be multipurpose (shops, going camping-occassional journey between cities)..i am hoping to hook a burley travoy bicycle trailer up to it for the shops and camping if that could help be a decider in wheel size. End of the day i am being realistc in that its the same model..whilst there will be a little difference im sure in ride, i doubt it would be that significant or am i wrong? I do plan on it being suitable for cycle tracks. Thanks for help so far. I think the 48 looks the best size for me with 26inch wheel. Just out of interest though, why is there such a delay on the bikes? Cant they produce them quick enough? @electrifyingcycles its the macina race 26/29 that i am most interested in..lol not sure if id prefer the 26inch version or 29inch wheel. the cross400 you have in stock is probably the closest. how long would it take to order the macina race in and im sure it would be the same as your cross400 in this respect if its the case, i presume its got the new bosch display setup with seperate thumb device.

@electrifyingcycles hi, i am very interested in the 2013 ktm electric bicycles and am wondering if you would confirm which of the models you currently have in stock. if its not the full range, how long will it take for you to receive delivery? @electrifyingcycles also wrt your more recent post, lol its good to know an ebike stockist likes ebikes which he doesnt stock and forums it hoping you guys see the humurous side but i find it strange some of the forum posts i have read and now stockists one upping each other..the cut-throat world of electric bicycles lol .if offence is taken i apologise but you need to imagine someone on the outside looking in and a conversation about it.

the haibike looks interesting. yup i saw what you mean about the motor location. i was like doh for a second looking at the battery location and then realised, oh yup the motor. its rather well done-not seen many with it above or that ive noticed..lol ill be checking that more in future. think i would still like to hear from 'electrifying cycles' to see what 2013 ktm ebikes that they have in stock then i will weigh it up.

Does any uk stockist stock traditional mountain bike appearance e-bikes/pedelecs with the latest Bosch Motor. I have looked and looked. It would be appreciated if any people with knowledge on the matter could please post the uk stockist if there are any and you are 100% sure. Getting a bit frustrated. Sounds like it will be quite good. Will it be a database (searchable) or more like a catalogue with most if not all the uk (or eu) marketed ebikes? Only playing devils advocate here but it sounds like it runs the risk of going out of date if the information enterer isnt just 1 person.

I am not a programmer or database expert or id have a bash at it myself but as far as i can tell there arent too many manufacturers which supply to uk so why doesnt someone create an ebike list with manufacturer, type(eg folding), model, year, rrp, gears, motor, brakes, battery wh, battery ah, etc and make it searchable so someone can pick the options they want eg bosch motor, deore xt and it brings up a list of all ebikes which meet the requirements with a link to each manufacturers website. It would make choosing which ebike you would like so much easier with you being able to fine tune the selection. It could be a long term project with photos and compare all details of the ebikes when your chosen selection comes up kind of like a self contained website or as simple as just a list of the names of all the ebikes which apply when you have chosen. I reckon it would be very popular and well used. I know there is a list but it doesnt have all the bikes and isnt searchable,ie u have to troll through it unless there is another.
