  1. Will do, good idea, it goes on eBay at midnight tonight.
  2. You have to have new lights and such as well because it's the old model and the new kit is different. They don't make the old type anymore. I'm going off what John has told me and, pragmatically; MK is too far for me to take it in for servicing now. We used to live in Leicester which was dead easy but have retired to the seaside. I am taking a hit on this to buy something from a local firm for ease of getting it serviced and such. Anybody who can fix it themself has got a bargain or a new one from John without battery and charger for £450 is still a steal plus you'll have all the kit on this one for spares. The tyres are great it has new inners and Slime from last year's service and, apart from not working; it looks like it did when it was new.
  3. ezee Sprint. New battery last summer, new charger in Jan 2014 much loved and always kept in the garage when not used which was only ever on sunny days - so very little at all. Controller is knackered and it will cost about £250 for repair OR a brand new bike without battery or charger would only cost you £450 according to the excellent John at Cycleezee in MK. John serviced it and fitted the new battery last year, top chap; great service always. We have now moved house so we're a bit too far from MK hence I am buying a new electric moped locally. Collect from Chapel St Leonards or I can deliver it for diesel cost in Skegness area. It's on eBay for £199. The battery plus charger alone would cost you more than that.
  4. I wasn't keen on that ad but kudos to Sainsburys for donating to the British Legion. The Legion does good work.
  5. We've recently moved to an off gas grid area so have oil fired central heating. Neighbours say this is about the cheapest heating oil has been for a long time. Downside of course is that jobs might go in the oil industry especially in the more expensive-to-extract areas such as Scotland.
  6. " Labial art-politics?" Load of old cock!
  7. Hi

Dealer availability is an issue for sure. I bought my Ezee Sprint from Loghborough which isn't far away. That dealer stopped doing Ezee bikes and now the closest ( and only Ezee dealer) is Cyclezee in Milto Keynes which isn't a massive journey but twice that to L'boro and we're moving 100 miles further away again soon. Bikes wise I've yet to find terrain that the Ezee Sprint can't manage , that said I don't deliberately choose off road if something smoother is available.
  8. Who knew? Many thanks flecc I'll be having a crack at one of those lads over the weekend.
  9. The more folk who dodge paying tax the more tax we have to find to make up the difference. Have been watching a series on TV about SW Trains and their revenue collection inspectors bring in a lot more every week than ever they cost the firm in wages. Maybe there should be more HMRC tax dodge investigators or let them sub contract the job out on commission. Everyone wins apart from tax dodgers.
  10. Years since we did a jigsaw. We had a cracker on the go on a coffee table. Almost finished. My sister came round with her youngest who promptly pulled the puzzle off the table. We've not done one since.

Work colleague oop north bought her husband a United home game parking space for a Christmas present. Cost a small fortune and was on someone's private house drive. It's a cottage industry round Old Trafford apparently is renting out parking spots.
  12. With charity shop-bought jigsaws do you never get one with the last few pieces missing?

Aye, they have a following do City. Possibly more of a local fan base than t'other team.

Spot on , if you mean Greater Manchester then Latics ( Oldham Athletic) take some beating.

Now you're just using logic! I had Google directions which are fine right up to, but never beyond; the first wrong turning one takes.

They do have lots of dedicated cycle routes there. I saw plenty as I was well lost and must have been all through MK and environs three times. Looked to me as if you could get just about anywhere ( if you knew how) without having to ride in traffic.

I've only been to MK twice and both times to see Cyclezee. ( Top lad excellent service). My call... Any soccer team with a ground in MK is taking a gamble on getting decent attendances because visiting fans could easily get lost on all those flippin' roundabouts and never get to the match.

Well you can always learn something new on here for sure. Thanks for that heads up. Might the tennis follow do you think? It was always gridlocked in Wimbledon fortnight when we lived in London. MK would be a better venue IMO.

Milton Keynes has a football team? When did that happen?
  20. £3-50 flat rate. 4 cost me £5-50 all in. Hope that helps.
  21. Bargain http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/inner-tubes-schrader-valve-dept508_pg1/#page= Last item on that page.
  22. Ezee Sprint. For when you need a fat lad moving.
  23. Beware! Check out the customer reviews here.... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Veet-Men-Hair-Removal-Creme/dp/B000KKNQBK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1408566255&sr=8-1&keywords=veet+for+men
  24. That firm was featured in one of the cycling mags this month. Mrs K ( a keen horsewoman) was inspired to comment that hi vis hacking jackets with a 'Fat Lass at the Back' logo would struggle to find buyers.
