  1. I have to wear glasses to see anything but I would like something to go over them to protect the glass lenses. Did consider the ski type goggles but they are enormous and I decided I looked dafter than usual.
  2. Loads of people list without mentioning battery and charger. Sometimes I send them a message suggesting they need to list if available as failure to do so can suggest the bike is stolen. This often results in changes to the listing and even a few messages of thanks. Seems it just does not occur to many sellers if unprompted.
  3. Enjoy the radio version but the TV show was destroyed for me by the canned laughter, always an abomination.
  4. Just spotted these on eBay: 121113155910 and 121113157622 In Dartford, Kent
  5. I have Norton 360 and it registers no problems with the site. And the site is working properly for me.
  6. £1,795.00 for 50cm £1,600.00 for 55cm £1,500.00 for 60cm There used to be a way to look up sellers previous identities on eBay, if here still is I can not find it. Interesting to see how many different identities 50cycles has used now. And why.
  7. Just spotted this. Looks like a bargain for someone (nothing to do with me): Kalkhoff Pro Connect Electric Bike | eBay
  8. Sold, I see. Sold for: £1,350.00
  9. This may be of interest to people, it is taken from Police.witness.com: WHICH CAMERA? | PoliceWitness.com Some camera reviews from the Cycling Lawyer: The Cycling Lawyer: Camera Reviews Iain
  10. Should never be compulsory even though I always do. What's weird is the number of adults I see with children, the children wearing helmets the adults not. Bet many will remove them the moment the adults are out of site. Another thing - is there any legislation about to try to prevent retailers selling things that look like bike helmets but are just bits of rubbish? I know there is a feeble EU standard but is it legal to sell "helmets" that do not comply? Thanks Iain
  11. Went for £885 (inc delivery). A quick look at the German eBay gives the lowest sold price at about £1200. Don't know if that makes it a bargain, but does suggest seller would have better off advertising it in Germany. Iain
  12. For anyone who reads German: Winora Iain
  13. I was reading a few days ago about Edinburgh being the first university in the UK to join the Coursera initiative. Certainly a big difference to the short course I am doing with the Open University which costs £195, but from September will be an eye watering £635 - this does have course materials and tutorial help included though. Iain
  14. Thanks for the heads up. Was there at 8:15 this morning, not many customers at that time but one of them was also buying the workstand. Iain

  16. In the end it went for £920.86, lots of last minute bids as ever. Iain
  17. "This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available." Pulled very late in the day - after no bids. Iain
  18. "Mystery surprise ebike - electric bike cycle - used but working." on eBay Mystery surprise ebike - electric bike cycle - used but working. | eBay From The Electric Transport Shop in Cambridge Why on Earth are they selling, or trying to sell, their bikes like this? Why bid on a bike with absolutely no details given? Would you? Iain
  19. Hello Dave Received the magazine this morning, so no idea what comes next. "Whilst examining it (the bike) they discovered that the motor was rated 300W" That's all that was written as regards the police's discovery. The Richmond rider bought his bike from "a local supplier." Iain
  20. In the new April/May issue there is an article with the above title. Much that is familiar, but: "Last year a Richmond cyclist was commuting to work on a pedelec bought in good faith when he was hit by a bus that allegedly jumped a red light...... The rider is now being prosecuted for illegal use of an unregistered untaxed motorcyle (police found it had a 300W motor).... To add insult to injury the operators/insurers of the bus are trying to dodge responsibility for the cyclist's injuries on the grounds that the vehicle they hit was being driven illegally. Trading Standards, meanwhile, have done almost nothing about the supplier..." Iain
  21. Yes, all looks fine. Iain
  22. In what sense? Iain
