Veliac Three - any views?

Featured Replies

Just been reading in 'atob' about e-trikes. Has anyone ridden this trike? Seems to be the only one with 36v 10amp battery. Wondering if it could help to keep J the right way up on her next charity ride - she went base over apex in the car park at Tatton when she'd completed the Cyclette 40k on Sunday. She's already signed on for next year's run and I'd like her to complete it without renewing this year's bruises. She won't let me post a picture of her black eye ...

The Veliac isn't a pretty bike - it's a shopper - but it does have a limited tilt mechanism. J has hinted that a Longstaffe trike really looks the part but they don't do an e-bike version. Any thoughts, folk?

Tom

Hi Tom

The Veliac Three is very similar to the Batribike trike that we have in stock. The tilting mechanism takes a little bit of getting used to but after half an hour or so it really makes cycling (tricling?) much easier. The Batribike also has a 36v 10amp battery and a throttle. My wife is much taken with it and its large rear basket and the ones we've sold have proved very popular.

I'll try to attach a picture of it...

I hope that's useful, let me know if you need more information.

Go girl, go! That Victoria Pendleton needs some decent opposition! :-)

Best wishes,

Tom

We're in West Berkshire, near Newbury/Reading - not far from the M4 & A34. Are you anywhere nearby?

Hi Tom

We've a special order Trike at New Mills that was eventually not sold to the gentleman who ordered it, after we heard about his intended journey. Decided he wasn't suited.

It does have a tilting frame and 20" wheels, 36V 10AH with a large rear basket. Maybe worth a look...

Phone Matt there on Tuesday if you fancy a try: 01663 308409 (I'm away next week).

Thanks, Bob. I'll see if J would like to try it.

Tom.
