This is part 1 of the Brexit, for once some facts. discussion.

Anything short of a pee tape, or sex pee tape, will make Benny Hill more electable (for many).

If he is actually going to Moscow (not just Kyiv or wherever), I'm sure that could be arranged.

Thank for the vote of confidence ... But there is point on which we agree .. There is one rule for Government and another for the rest of us. My point remains ..That's Correct ...There Should Be and it is the responsibility of those in Government to use their good judgement as to when they should exercise it. You should be in a position to trust their judgement, otherwise you elect someone else. That is what I have been saying ..no more than that.

I disagree. It's nominally a democracy. Where the rule of law should apply equally to all. That include holding those we have elected to account for ways they are bribed and spend our money. Between elections, via a nominally free press.

Are we convinced about Boris going to Ukraine? Wouldn't surprise me if he was sat in his flat for a few days, just telling us all he is seeing Putin.. Seems a bit risky if he does go... Definetly needs an Airforce Plane for this one.....

it's an RAF plane and she wasn't travelling alone.

Initially that's what I thought, it would be ZZ336 the Airbus Voyager which can be regularly seen carrying out its military function as an air to air refuelling tanker. After Johnson's £900,000 paint job it is difficult not to see it which is not ideal for a military aircraft.

Truss flew on G-XATW, an Airbus 321 neo operated by Titan Airways on behalf of the UK government. This is the aircraft Johnson used to travel from London to Newquay and back for the G7 summit and to Glasgow and back for COP26. It has also been painted in UK livery.

Another A21n, G-GBNI still to be painted in its UK livery, has been leased from Titan by the UK government.

There has also been talk of Johnson having a government helicopter put at his disposal. Perhaps he could use the same type as Nigel Farage, you never know, we might get lucky this time.

Refusenicks

As at the end of 2021 some 44% of 12 to 15 year olds had still not had a first Covid vaccine after well over 3 months of their program. In the month of January since then the UK first jab level has risen by exactly 1% from 90 to 91%. Since the unvaccinated 12 to 15 year olds at the end of the year were some 2.8% of the population it's clear that the resistance to acceptance for this young age group is still high.

Importantly though, with now only about 1.8% of the population from that group still able to have the first vaccination and at best only 1% at the most even likely to, it's clear at last that the total of refusenicks in the population is actually some 8% and probably a little higher. That's a little over 4.21 millions of the eligible totally unvaccinated.

It will be interesting to see what the government does about these totally unvaccinated, ignore them, introduce compulsory vaccination more widely for certain groups, or less likely, compulsory vaccination for everyone over 12 unless medically exempt.

I think they are likely to act to some degree since the over 4 millon refusenicks haven't been suffering from their decision to any great degree. Their hospitalisation rate has been higher, but to nothing like as remotely high as the propaganda suggested, and there is no evidence that their death rate is higher. In fact I can show using the government's own data that it's been the same, even in areas of very low vaccination rates, even where the black populations have been by far the largest and having four times the vulnerability to Covid 19 of the white population.

That's very inconvenient to a government wishing to save their skin by portraying their vaccines program as the saviour of the nation, but easily corrected by some vaccines compulsion.

Looks like yet more ill-considered deregulation, rushed and poorly written and designed legislation, a tax mutiny, and U-turn on vaccinating health workers.

(Let's deregulate building insulation a bit further?)

And it is only Monday.

Note the promised brexit benefits and that six years after the advisory referendum, the government is still struggling to achieve any real benefits.

Don't hold your breath:

There have been a lot of last minute changes in this whole process so it’s subject to moving around again but, as things stand it does seem like report will go to Number 10 later this morning

It's difficult to imagine someone less qualified for the top job than BJ - if you believe stories about him leaving his red box opened and top secret reports strewn everywhere in his flat while family friends know the digicode and come and go to their flat.

on the whole, the farce at No 10 has already achieved a great deal for Labour. The 4 millions or so Labour votes principally from the North of England that were lent to BJ to get brexit done and/or seduced by the promise of levelling up will go back to Labour at the next election. That should wipe out the conservative majority in parliament.

BJ will survive an immediate vote of no confidence, not because the tories still believe he's a winner, more likely because they can pin the blame him later for all the non delivery of promises, huge budget deficit, high inflation, high interest rate, wrong decisions and U-turns. I still think he'll go well before the next election, possibly by October.

Countdown to public release:

No 10 has now received Sue Gray's partygate 'update', Cabinet Office says

No 10 has now received the Sue Gray report, the Cabinet Office says.

Or at least, a version of it. Here is the statement from a Cabinet Office spokesperson said:

We can confirm that Sue Gray has provided an update on her investigations to the prime minister.

The description of the report as an “update” implies that Gray definitely does not see it as the finished version (she has had to leave out the most incriminating material at the request of the police), and perhaps that she does envisage publishing a final version once the police inquiry is over.

I must say that getting the police to ask Sue Gray to minimise her report has done it for BJ.

Parties were never going to deflate the turgidity of this BJ. It's mostly seen as sweating small stuff.

I must say that getting the police to ask Sue Gray to minimise her report has done it for BJ.

But hapilly it has dragged them into the frame, and brought them, in the most appropriate way, to the publics' attention.

Conclusion

24. The gatherings within the scope of this investigation are spread over a 20-month period – a period that has been unique in recent times in terms of the complexity and breadth of the demands on public servants and indeed the general public. The whole of the country rose to the challenge. Ministers, special advisers and the Civil Service, of which I am proud to be a part, were a key and dedicated part of that national effort. However, as I have noted, a number of these gatherings should not have been allowed to take place or to develop in the way that they did. There is significant learning to be drawn from these events which must be addressed immediately across Government. This does not need to wait for the police investigations to be concluded.

So, don't do it again, you naughty boys and girls.

that would be applicable to the 4 that are below the police interest's threshold. The other 12 are being investigated by the police and Johnson still insists that there is nothing to see here.

I am watching him giving his statement to the HoC, Con. MP Andrew Mitchell asked him to resign. I am still waiting for a single MP, any MP, to have a good word to say about him.

He apologised but insisted he did not do anything wrong. His apology obviously means nothing. When he was criticised and reminded the respect for the office of PM, he just laughed.

He takes you for a fool. Are you so desparate to vote for any conservative government that you would still vote for this guy?
