Hi. I am an un fit fatty with fibromyalgia and other health problems and really want to get on a bike again. I haven't been on a bike for years, and it's only recently I thought about going electric. The last time I tried a regular bike, my right knee just couldn't bend enough! I have been to hydro and walking lots more and after adjusting my sons bike, did manage to get the old knee working! Obviously getting the right crank length would be important. I don't know the what possibilities for changing this are. I have a budget of £1,500 max.

Having read some of the threads on here and researching a bit, I am leaning towards Woosh big bear LS, wisper 705 or a Batribike (attracted by the long warranties and local dealer).

I want to use the bike for some commuting and to increase my fitness . It will have to be step through because of my joint problems, I have chronic pain and fatigue so I need to be in a comfortable position, would like to make sure I can have the right crank length

Excited to be starting an adventure!

In your case definitely try a bike out for fit and feel of it, swept bar bars for a more upright posture will help. Handle bars can be changed so not a big issue.

Most bikes use 170 - 175 mm cranks though again you can get shorter cranks if needed.

My wife has a Big Bear (older model) and it is a very upright Dutch style riding position. It has an adjustable handlebar stem so the bars can be bought well back and up. The bpm motor has loads of torque and has a current control system so going up through the control levels gives reasonable smoothness. Cut out, at around 16mph, can be a bit abrupt but then who gets there? It is a heavy old machine but built like a tank.

Thank you for your welcomes. At this point I think I need to find somewhere to try out some different models.

Benjahmin- I like the look of the Big Bear because it looks like a tank! I have dismissed the idea of a folding bike as I don’t want to end up as a GIF ( Think elephant on tiny trike!)
