I see pswpower offer no less than 8 different displays for the bafang bbshd. How do you go about choosing one??

id rather something small and discreet than something that looks like an iPhone. Dont want a touchscreen as cycle with gloves. What’s the purpose of Bluetooth? Are any clear winners? Do any offer custom firmware?

yep another vote for the 500c here, it's got all you need..dont tighten it fully, you can the twist it out of the way if you have to turn the bike upside down to fix a puncture or other maintenance

If had to opt for one it would be the SW102.

Although the supplied with kit DPC18 has a big bright display visible in most lighting conditions, and it does everything I need, I do lust after small sexy displys... it's battery data functions are superfluous, because there is no battery data connection on the bbs01b kit. As egroover said, leaving the display slightly loose is handy for maintenance, and for when my folder needs folding.

Tried a sw 102 my fat fingers had trouble with the small buttons [ had to take my gloves off ] and the display info is very hard to read in the sun

The SW102 looks identical to my KT lcd4 so is the reason I would choose it, I don't have issues with changing with a glove on but tbh once I have set the display I seldom need to change it.

I have just fitted the 500C display to my Bafang mid drive. It very neat and gives all the information needed .
