October 20, 20223 yr It sounds like you have the st link and speed cable extender. Let folks know where roughly you are in the country and someone might help out or if willing put the parts in the post and mail it to one of us to solder up. If you don't have the parts some one will have to order the parts from new and await delivery which could be a week or so.
October 21, 20223 yr A friendly phone repair shop might be persuaded to solder it for you? Some are very skilled with a soldering iron. My most recent job for my local was a very fiddly repair of a mobile wifi hotspot donge. Failing that, a TV/Hi-Fi repair shop? If you can find one still trading near you.

March 19, 20233 yr You don't NEED to solder. I made a programming cable using dupont crimp pins and connectors and it works fine.
