Lovely day here. Wall to wall sunshine. Such a relief that Spring is here at last.

This afternoon I took out the Royal Enfield and rode it up to one of my son's places which is about twenty five miles away near Stagshaw on the A68.

Just ready to set off.

This bike runs really nicely. Fifteen kilowatts of power certainly flattens the hills. :)

and they still lost.

They lost because the war was not supported at home.

The war aim was initially defined as to root out communism. At the beginning of that war, 1955 to about 1965, people were scared of communism but around 65, protests against the war made rooting out communism no longer a priority. Who cares about rooting out communism nowadays?

Inside Vietnam, it was clear for a long time that the Americans propped up puppet regimes to do as they were told. There was an iconic picture of one of the South Vietnamese generals executed a captured North peasant combatant with his pistol inches away from his head. Vietnamese killing Vietnamese under American orders. That one picture was enough to lose all support for the war as far as the pro American South was concerned. The rest just followed American political cycles which are funded by rich donors. Nixon pulled out troops and replaced them with carpet bombings then negotiations in 1974. The war was concluded the following year.

I can agree with that. It's getting even worse with AI. Soon in this brave new world, being a slave will be a privilege because each human slaves will own on average 100 robots.

Hsbc's cutting 20k jobs with AI, likely followed by goldman, citi. As with globalisation, it's us, the consumers, who want to pay as little as possible who's behind it, we're every bit as ethical as us voters who care a lot about fuel price, not so much about non-us casualties

"Only one marching in time was the dog ", oh dear.

I trust the marching band kept time, hehe.

The st Patrick's parades in Japan made a better show.

Ireland, scammers paradise no 1 calling, you're no 2.

Here they could get a free housing, etc, and free uni too. :-/

"Funding for International Protection Applicants / Person seeking asylum:

Once you are three years in the protection system in Ireland, you are eligible to apply for funding from the state and in that case, it does not matter that you are not a national of the EU/EEA/Swiss confederation/UK or that you do not have Refugee status".

Did you know the Brit Gov gave £2,000,000 for a film by the "irish" leftie band called "Kneecap"?

And the Irish Gov media "censor", called commission of Meán, gave them €500,000?

(Freudian slip? "Meán", y they are to the Irish, but why actually admit it, hehe :) )

Just how completely insane do Trump and Hegseth's bullying announcements have to be, before the not mad people who are left in the USA rise up and demand that they are both taken to the mad house and kept there under lock and key?

  • US President Donald Trump lashes out at the UK and other countries, telling them to "go get your own oil" from the Strait of Hormuz

  • "You'll have to start learning how to fight for yourself, the USA won't be there to help you anymore, just like you weren't there for us," he writes in a Truth Social post

Hegseth announced oon TV that 'The big bad Royal Navy should step up and open the Straights of Hormuze. He went on to say that America wasn't a big user of that waterway....

Neither is the UK-

Infographic showing where crude oil shipped through the Strait of Hormuz is produced and its destination. It shows two vertical oil barrels. The left barrel lists producers and their shares: Saudi Arabia 36%, Iraq 22%, Iran 11%, Kuwait 9%, UAE 5%, Qatar 5%, and other 3%. The right barrel lists destinations and their shares: China 31%, India 14%, Other Asia 41%, Europe 4%, Americas 3%, Other 6%, and Africa 1%. Source: IEA analysis based on Kpler

My answer to Hegseth and Tump is this :

Fk OFF you fools.

You are a pair of ignorant liars, who have begun a war without proper planning and understanding of the enemy and its likely (extremely obvious responses. You don't just plan your opening moves - like bombing top politicians and commanders, you look at a bit of history and work out how the enemy will respond, and then you plan ahead for that. It was completely obvious that Iran would seek to block Hormuze and that its proxies in Yemen - the Houthies, would do the same with the Red Sea. Both have done exactly that before and the use of crude, but accurate drones to bomb huge, lumbering tankers, was an obvious response.

Meanwhile The Liar in Chief, claims he is having productive talks with the Iranian leadership ....

BOLLO X !

The Iranians say he must be talking to himself because they don;t know what he is talking about.

Trump says he'll stop the war in Iran in a few weeks to calm the market but a lot of things can happen until then. Netanyahu said he has won, so that's too a good indication that the end of the war is near but I wouldn't believe it until there is an agreed ceasefire. As past events show, ceasefires in Gaza didn't stop Netanyahu continue his wars.

You gloss over that EVERY Gaza incursion was preceded by an outrageous attack on Israel. In every case, Israel was attacked first and then responded. How many rocket bombs do you want falling on your town before the government does something to protect you?

I'm no fan of Netanyahu, but I am no fan of foreign (Iranian) militia armies launching rockets, murderous attacks, and invasions into a neighbour's territory either. Gaza was not Ukraine, quietly minding its own business only to be attacked. Hamas spent most of Gaza's GDP on acquiring explosive rockets, building military tunnels murdering opponents, and its campaign to turn Gaza into a war machine.

I assume you already know that Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant would face arrest for alleged war crimes in Gaza if he comes visit many of the EU countries?

Explain to me your point of view regarding Netanyahu's settlers. There are about 700,000 at last count.

Watch this interview and point out to me where he isn't talking absolute common sense on:

Banning face covering in public

MIgration

Visas to countries who refuse to accept repatriation of criminals

Banning recruitment policy based on racial type

Obliging Prime Ministers to actually answer the questions they are asked by MPs

Propaganda.

Common sense? I give you some statistics here in France: 75,000 asylum claims accepted in 2025, representing 52% of the applicants. French government accepts the positive contribution of immigrants, even illegal ones.

You didn't watch it.

Therefore your conclusion is idiotic.

I'm not talking to the wall anymore.

Pointless waste of time responding to you.

It is entirely worthless attempting to communicate with people who won't listen to evidence, or read information,

Does Trump have dementia?

I ask this question because of his mad outbursts. He is supposedly the 'Leader of the Free World', but he explodes onto social media with obviously ridiculous lies, splenetic explosions of bad temper and intemperate remarks. These are some of teh characteristics of frontal lobe dememtia.

It astounds me that he is not only sitting in the White House, half demented like Biden was, while his assistants quietly cover up for him and manage his outputs so that they make sense, but he is wildly and belligerently crashing about the public space, making wild threats and insane, plainly ridiculous, and rambling explanations of how he sees the world. Factual errors and ridiculous misconceptions are everywhere in his public output. He is narcissistic, vengeful and ill-tempered - each of these should be enough to disqualify him from ANY public office, but combined - all of them - together with his delusional inability to handle facts and see the real world as it is, make him the biggest liability for world order I can imagine. He is Henry Vlll on stilts - mad, demented and bad - and he seems to have pretty much absolute power.
