March 17, 20251 yr If one searches the 'Search' part of the forum there is likely someone who has replaced them. As long as the motor connector is a julet type then there should be no issue. That controller you show is too powerful , you will need a 6 mosfet 15 or 17a controller and not a 30a model. One will need a KT LCD for compatibility and a PAS , if the motor connector is only 8 pins one will need a speed sensor with spoke magnet.
March 17, 20251 yr i have made sure to select the 15a contoller or is thid not what you meant If you're converting one that hasn't been done with exactly that controller, it would probably be better to get a controller with the block connectors so that you can test it when something doesn't work. Your pedal sensor will probably have wires out of sequence, which is very difficult to confirm unless you can get to the wires. Likewise, sometimes the motor wires are not in the correct sequence for the controller. Edited March 18, 20251 yr by saneagle
March 18, 20251 yr You will have to select from the drop down box a LCD display , your exsisting display won't communicate with the KT so one will get error code and a non working bike. The motor connector is good but as has been said one may need to change a Hall or phase wire sequence so if possible one will need a controller that uses non water proof connectors, otherwise one can't change the sequence. The motor though is a Bafang and my one works perfectly without any wire sequence change , likely hood is it will work unless Gtech spec'd ones are wired differently.
March 18, 20251 yr While throttle control is on out opf the box with a KT controller, the PAS is not (well mine wasn't) and will require sensor selection and enabling, RTFM if the chenglish isnt too clear on the sensor type.. just cycle through the 5 or so options until one hits ..
