Ebike must have

Featured Replies

I think one of the most important bits of kit for an ebiker is a multi meter, they can be purchased from just £3 to £4 pounds upwards, if you want to try and solve problems yourself they are essential, for cutting out problems etc at least with a meter you can check the battery voltage as a starting point, connections can be checked for continuity, instead of trying plugging and unplugging and hopng for the best, anyway thats my tip of the day buy a multimeter id be lost without mine.
I would agree with this 100% for all ebike owners. In fact I think this is such an essential core skill in life these days it should actually be taught at schools. Knowing how to use a multimeter can save a small fortune. This week my kids Wii died, instead of £80 for a new one spent £5 on a power supply having tested it with meter.
Agree with this. Beware of very cheap multimeters though as I have found them to be inaccurate sometimes. Also - if the battery is old, replace it, as I have also found this to give dodgy readings!
