Yes, those 4250mAh Sanyo 20700B cells I would love to try, but they are a bit pricey:(
Agreed they where not cheap...£620 from jimmy for 17ah 20700 52v also he could not for the sub charger or battery indicator in the shark case with them. However he told me they are the best so I thought f€ck it...I set a limit of £1650 which I just about done with 2 batterys... pretty happy all round..

375€ for enough cells to make a 20 Ah 12S (44.4v) battery, I don't find that particularly expensive.

309€ for 30Q cells

381€ Multistar LiPo

All of the above are 15 Amp discharge

Highest energy density for the weight at the moment. Oh and they built the factory that makes them in the US :)

No, your right AW, when you take the higher power density into account, you need less cells for the same Ah:) Damn it, I might have to buy some now...thanks a bunch for pointing that out:)

The extra cost per cell is helped by only 30 x 4250mAh Sanyo 20700B cells to get a resonable 36v 12ah battery vs 40 decent 18650 cells. Or only 20 Sanyo cells for a lightweight 8.5ah battery. Next years project could soon be in planning.

Think I may have spent some of your guys hard earned money for you lol...sorry...
Do remember that with the 20700's jimmy had to ad tape to my shark case to fully seal it, he called me to check of course...oh and no usb or battery gauge...I'm sure Shenzhen will build a vase for the 20700's soon...

I'm busy deciding between the German welder kit or the Korean one... Mine will go in custom built casing, the first will be a 3P10S 12 Ah 36v battery for Number Two and the Mxus rear hub.
