Is it worth spending the extra

They are a tidy little display in fairness

Ive seen little wiring kits and magnet kits for about £100-£150 that uncork the 25km Or 15mph restrictor will these work with latest displays
Should do, although the cheaper one will scramble the speed reading on the display.

That applies to Intuvia as well.

it goes to half speed over 10mph so if you doing 30 then reads 15mph.

Ill be honest i can live without the speedo
But thats handy to know half speed

Im probably going to mess about with the front sprocket aswell
so ill have to do a comparison with gps and see where it compares with actual reading

18t will get you to 30mph but the cut off is 35mph with the badass dongle i have.

it will half the range of the batt going these speeds mind so get the 500w batt ;)

Bear in mind the dongle doesn't add any power.

It still makes a big difference having the motor still spinning above 15mph, but unless you are a strong cyclist you won't be able to rattle along at 20+mph for long, or against a gradient or headwind.

Im sure ill pick up the fitness over a month or so and sprockets are relativly cheap so ill try a couple of different ones over the space of a week to see the trade offs for the gradient i have to face in the mornings

This being the internet I expect instant contradiction.

But is 21mph on a pan flat route really so different to what I posted?

Sounds like you grasp the point.

Some people expect the dongle to turn the bike into a moped and are disappointed when they can't cruise effortlessly at 25+mph.

should be faster with a hard tail less waight but the faster you go the faster you drain the batt i think if you could get it to 50mph and keep it there the batt will not even do 10 miles.

when the speed limit is removed you can use the full power from the motor just when you get to over 25mph it gives less the faster you go but still uses full power from the batt.

even under the 15mph limit the motor gives full power and me and eddie get the same sort of range just he is using the power for climbing and me for speed.

it has to come from some where at the end of the day ;)

Im not up on all the components i tought maybe there was a night and comparison between rock shox and suntor or xt and deore
If I had the choice, I would certainly go for RockShox above Suntour, but whether it's worth paying well above retail price is debatable.

8 months ago that same sort of spec cube was under £1500 with a 400w batt from chain reaction.

At 50mph on a bycycle i think id S^*t myself

I had a few test rides during the last week but only around the car park of a couple of bike shops no hills ,
So its hard to see how the gearing will suit me on hills it felt like i could possibly climb hill on the smallest gear on the rear with the help of the motor
Hence the reason to want to change the front cog and dongle to make the bike suit me and my fitness level .
Ive done a 110mph Lap of the isle of man so i know my limits with whatever machine is under me
