Well I have emailed Norman so we will see what he suggests.

    Wisper not charging

Afraid it is out of warranty, I'll open the battery up at the weekend and have a look for anything out of order. ~ I assume it comes apart easily.

    Wisper not charging

The red light isn't lying. I took it out for a ride and it definitely felt to be almost fully discharged, just checked the battery voltage ~ it is 34.5v. What is the next step ?

    Wisper not charging

Yes, superficially it does look as though the charger 'thinks' the battery is charged.

    Wisper not charging

I've done some checking. Fuze OK No Load voltage is fine from the charger. opening the end of the plug had no affect. I notice when I switch the charger on the LED on it goes almost straight from orange to green and the charger fan does not come on.

    Wisper not charging

I have a 905, put it on charge last night as it was down to the red light, checked it this morning and the battery was in the same state ~ it had not charged. What should I check first ? My normal charging routine is every 25 miles/2 weeks. The light on the charger was on. The bike is...

    Bike weight does it matter

Surely what also comes into play is the difference between sprung and unsprung mass, which is why the extra bike weight is much more noticeable over rough ground.

    What size

Got to replace the rear Kenda on my Wisper 905e as it has split at the bead, I am going to fit a Marathon Plus in its stead, the question is what size, the Kenda is 26*1.95 and the Marathons come in 26*1.75 and 26*2.00. The other question is who is the cheapest supplier ?

    London to Brighton

There is of course nothing to stop you just turning up and going along for the ride, I wonder just how many people just don't bother. or know they have to, register ?

    London to Brighton

I am surprised about the London to Brighton. I was idly thinking of doing it next year on my wisper (not this year due to the Hernia operation:( ). It had never occurred to me that you had to register or couldn't use an e-bike. In my casual view of life I assumed you just turned up and...

Sunday Times 'Top Five Electric Bikes'

Interesting that neither of the most popular (Wisper or Kalkhoff) bike families get a mention. I can imagine a lot of GoCycles being bought but getting little use. But that's marketing

    Wisper 905 motor cable repair

Indeed the one thing that differentiates good and bad companies is not whether they make mistakes but how they handle them.

    Wisper 905 motor cable repair

i think that wisper have been very brave to keep their head(s) above the parapet and stay on the forum rather than setting up their only online Q&A. Whilst it means we as owners get to hear about the problems we also see the response.

    Electric Bicycles.

Wouldn't that steam thing ride better with engine at the back ? How about something more conventional : http://www.scienceandsociety.co.uk/Pix/TRN/%2034/10221434_T.JPG My favourite in the science museum is an old coal burner bike that was alledgly found in a ditch after failing to...
