Had not used the 350 for about 5 months and had removed supply [ battery] so I wonder if its a nvm chip or eprom /pic chip used to store and it reverts back to factory defaults

I suspect it is outside the firmware parameters had no problems with the bbs02 wish I had kept that one and not the 350watt.:rolleyes: just had a quick look on ebay all the bafang prices have gone up and very few in uk/eu stock I wonder if its bre--t or a new model or the vat man has caught...

Its not just you my bbs 350watt lost its keep current down from 95% to 60% its like the bike is towing a land anchor set at 60% I thought I must of had a senior moment ;):oops: mind you the bafang 250watt rear hub with no throttle in the latest build is areal disappointment :mad:

Looks like it was dampness in the throttle or a connection :) I tape all the plugs and glue gun the cables into the motor and a plastic bag over the display if it is raining

Have seen one with bbs02/bbshd fitted and a hailong 2 battery the rear anti rotation bracket on the tsdz will require a bracket made to work

Not had a controller to bits yet but if it is not potted it might be possible to upgrade the mosfets I have seen a you tube of mods on the bbshd to 60 amps but I do not think its worth the aggro more power the quick way is more volts I noticed the bbs02 500 watt now has a 48v option use...

EM3 have bbs01 pre 2016 models 500 watt on sale for $ 275.00 so it must have been possible

I have just rebuilt a old mission trike and had to buy a replacement drive shaft found them very helpful and nothing was to much of a problem as they keep an extensive stock the trilogy looks great :)

On a full battery fresh of the charger at 42v [41.9] will be 500-600 watts in short bursts max seen on a 350watt set at 20 amps is 653 watts on the display run current depends on cut out speed and keep current the 500watt is 25 amps standard and is :)

The front drive is ok even up to 28 inch and 24 on the rear is ok 26 if you use 2.3 inch tyres but only speed in a straight line good brakes are essential and go very slow round corners

The 25amp seems to run cooler to the touch than the 15amp version, I agree you must never let it labour you have to get the gearing right, it has at a sweet spot with a 42 tooth front and an alfine 8 at the rear [or the standard on the front and two more teeth on the rear] 24 amps set as...

The 25amp controller is the same as fitted to the off the shelf 36v bbs02b 500 watt version so its just a label change;) like the em3 version from the states 250 to 500watt in one package pulls about 850 watts peak on a fresh battery :) which is a great increase over the 15amp standard but...

How about contacting insat /jimmy to see about a recell of your existing battery case might be a cheaper option I suggest you make a cup of tea if you phone its always a long chat but very helpfull
