I wonder if this dealer has any experience of these Tannus tyres slipping on the rim with an electric hub motor...... I suspect they are just making an assumption with no clear proof of it. I'd be more inclined to believe it with a high powered motor, but not with a 250W one.

Yup, steel will generally absorb shocks better than aluminium. Pretty good that it'll take 32 tyres, that'll also help a bit for a smoother ride. Personally i would prefer the Momentum over the Freego, but get a test ride on both and see which one you prefer..... at the end of the day its you...

I wouldn't worry about the Momentum not having front suss, i can easily do ok with rigid forks on canal paths and a steel frame is usually more comfortable and has less vibes than aluminium. Only thing is, your probably limited to thin tyres with those caliper brakes...... possibly 28 max.

So if the manufacturers aren't reimbursing the costs to a local dealer of repairing a warranty problem, then they aren't really standing by their product.

I think any dealer that sells a certain make of Ebike, should be prepared to fix problems on that model under warranty, irrespective of if it was bought at another dealer. The original selling dealer would have to do the same to Ebikes that weren't bought from them as well It should be part of...
