Do the cops care about illegal eBikes?

The word 'hit' is maybe a little extreme. It suggests a far more physical action than we are implying here. Smack, yes. I, like flecc, got a smack from the teacher, or my Father, if I wasn't playing the game, and I still see the reasoning behind it. Whether it made me a better person, who...

Do the cops care about illegal eBikes?

I see where you are coming from Tom, but moralistic behavior is quickly disappearing from our culture. I believe a change in the way we teach our children at home and in schools, has had a big effect on this. Remember the days when every schoolkid would cack their pants if confronted by the...

Do the cops care about illegal eBikes?

Probably not. If you've watched any of SW's videos, he's usually seen whizzing past the fuzz at 50mph

    Snatchy BBS02 500

Once you get into the programming software, go to the Pedal Assist page. From there, changing Slow Start Mode (1-8) to a lower value will result in a slower ramp up. Also changing Start Current (%) to a low value will result in a smoother take off.

    Torque Arms

Please be aware that the strength of jubilee clips are compromised at the point that they bend sharply on the torque arm. There could be a massive amount of force exerted at that point, if the wheel nuts aren't as tight as they could be. I don't want my post to sound like scaremongery, but...

    pawabyke x24 battery

Ok great. Try the extended charging suggestion and if no joy, let's hope it's a battery hibernation thing ;) The reason I asked is that the older Powabykes used deep cycle lead acid batteries, so would need a different procedure to try to revive them.

Sorry, added something after you replied. Are they lead acid or lithium batteries?

    pawabyke x24 battery

I would try leaving it on the charger for a lot longer to see if it springs into life again. The other reason is that it may have gone into a hibernation state, caused by the battery being flattened. Someone on here should be along soon to clarify this and offer some help how to bring it out of...

Are you saying it was working fine before, but after 10 days on the charger it doesn't work?

Hauling heavy loads in steep hills.

Renax, hope you don't think I was being a bit in your face with my comment about the lawyer. It's just we have a topsy-turvy legal system, where someone might get a slap on the wrist for doing something abhorrent, and another banged up for walking down the street in the wrong clothes. Ok, so...

Hauling heavy loads in steep hills.

But if you're lying in hospital after an accident, you may not have any say in whether they can touch your bike or not. They would have already taken it away for inspection by the relevant authorities. As I say, ride a powerful bike at your own risk, but don't expect a lawyer to get you out of...

Hauling heavy loads in steep hills.

The plate on the side of the motor is fine. It's only covering up either 'Bafang' or '8FUN'. Correct me if there are units out there with '750w' on the side. The information on the bottom of the unit is etched, well it is on mine anyway. Any plate stuck over the top can be easily removed. I...

Is it a good idea to re-torque nuts and bolts once in a while?

Not sure if the word re-torque is grammatically correct, but anyway. I try to torque every nut and bolt on the bike to the correct setting. That's if I can find the manufacturer's recommended figure.Otherwise I use the 'oooh, feels like it might snap' method. Once torqued though, is it a good...
