Bargain of the Year Torque Arms

Sounds like a wonderful time was had by all. I envy your trip to China and ability to see the country from a non tourist perspective. I have exchanged quite a few emails the last couple of years with people there re the bits and bobs I purchase and must admit I struggle to get a handle on how...

Help me find a suitable power switch please

I been using a similar switch on my Brompton setup for two years. It no great shakes if it fails. I mainly use it to stop arcing when I connect the deans plugs together. There is a 15 amp fuse in the circuit too. Those circuit breakers are waaaay too big. Regards Jerry

How fast can you charge this type of battery?

Quite frankly I think you would be better off buying one locally (I assume you are in the UK) from Kudos .: Kudos Cycles - e-bikes with style :. You will get better support, a proper guarantee and be able to return it easier if needed. I can fast charge my larger A123s (Cylindrical LifeP04)...

Help me find a suitable power switch please

I was recently looking for a isolator switch for my light bike setup. I chose a mini rocker rated at 6A/250Vac My setup is 36v and the controller is rated at 12amps max ? Is that rated too low ? What is the calculation ? Regards Jerry

Cycle rage - do you suffer

Good point about the bell though just ringing it and passing is often not enough as you say. I have noticed if you ring your bell and people move over, if you then fail to thank them for doing so some will often then pass a sarcastic comment. Again the solution as you say is a simple thank you...

Cycle rage - do you suffer

Well you are at least very honest which is a good start. I also think it is probably bothering you and that perhaps more stuff may be going on rather than just people annoying you when you are on your bike. We all often have outlets for our frustration and maybe this is yours. Anyway enough of...

    £20 Ebike Battery

Thinking about it I forget that these cells were amazing when they came out in 2006/7 or earlier I can't remember. 30C then was amazing but I guess things have moved on and modern lipos would probably match/out perform them both C wise and power to weight. For me still though its about knowing...

Broken Thumb Throttle - Electric Wheel Nano

I am almost certain it is the one shown Here ? though maybe it has leds on it. You can also get the one with the power button and battery leds from the same seller. Both will work with the nano conversion anyway, though the wiring colors may be different. Dave from the forum was offering one...

    £20 Ebike Battery

Although I have used lipos extensively in my RC hobby, for safety reasons I would not be happy leaving them unattended whilst charging at work or having them lying around in my house. I know they are fine if treated with respect, but that's me. My larger 3000 mile/two year old pack has over...

    £20 Ebike Battery

These cylindrical cells (the larger ones) are used almost exclusively in 36v DeWalt drill packs and not in the larger ebike batteries you see, which require a BMS (battery management system) to keep the cells in balance. The larger capacity ebike batteries also parallel them up to enable higher...

New build - Old bike - GT LTS

I would use x1 on 26" + front wheels. I have been having a go at building a few radial front wheels (they look amazing) both motorized and normal. On my most recent motorised 20" front wheel I have now used radial. Up to now I have always been using x1 on my front 16" and 20" motorised wheel...
