Electric bike conectors wheel nuts etc

The M12 nuts used on most motors are readily available from large fastening suppliers who advertise on Ebay. Note they are fine pitch (1.25mm) nuts. Also loads of Form A and Form B, M12 stainless washers for spacing etc. Form A are the thicker ones. Washers Nuts Flanged Nuts Regards Jerry

    Cannondale and 8Fun

The non water bottle battery kits say V or Disc brakes and you can clearly see the fixing on the motor for the disk brake. I suspect the motor is the same for both kits. As suggested best phone them. http://www.8funbike.com/detail.asp/sku=EK26F36R IMHO that seems like a good all round deal for...

    Cannondale and 8Fun

Although the spacing between the motor lock out nuts is usually 100mm, often depending on the fork profile above the dropouts spacers/widening might be required so the motor casing does not foul the fork inner faces. If the forks are not steel, I think I would fit a torque arm for belt & braces...

    £20 Ebike Battery

Here is the link on ebay for the 6s1p packs welded up. You need to add balance taps and power lead etc. If you order them one at a time its below the import duty limit and you can be certain it will get through :) If you want to make the larger 2.3Ah ones then get the packs ready made up with...

    £20 Ebike Battery

Thanks lol I guarantee when the autumn/winter wind and rain is back, I will be back on my Brompton using nearer 1.5Ah each way :o Ebikes have transformed my working day, there is just no way I would ever have got to using a bike for much more than the odd short ride in the summer. Now I use it...

    £20 Ebike Battery

Just cycled home and was a bit more generous with my throttle usage. Home is easier anyway and I used 416mAh. ***major geek alert*** I monitored each cell voltage of one of the 6s1p packs using my cellog (details in the other thread linked) and there was no major sag over my larger battery and...

    Cytronex

Thanks for the clarification Amigafan. This is a side I have less understanding about. Regards Jerry

    Cytronex

There is another consideration and that is the motor power consumption. The Cute is likely to draw more power given it is a 250w (it might even be 350w) motor compared to the Tongxin's 180w, at least for the narrower width ones that I use. Again not a problem, but if you are looking to maximise...

    Cytronex

Yes I keep meaning to try one of those Cute Q85s. Certainly more readily available though my latest Tongxin source from China seem reliable and easy to deal with. Once you express interest, they then send you a formal order with pictures of what you have ordered. Regards Jerry

    Help choosing right stem

Just a little  I was pretty disappointed that a shop would come up with that solution and think I would be happy with it having just paid £950 for the bike. Oh and as I said they charged me £50 extra on top of the bike for it and kept the original stem. Anyway as I said with a...

    Help choosing right stem

I find I always have problems and have to raise my handle bars from supplied stock. I found it gets a bit busy if you use a stem riser and an addjustable stem. As shown that's a lot of metal and looks pretty ugly Much better The shop that suppled me the bike charged me £50 for their...

    £20 Ebike Battery

But does it work ? Both cells are rated at 30c constant and 60c peak. For the larger pack that's 69amps constant and 138amps peak/burst! The new pack again can draw 33amps constant and 66amps peak/constant. More than enough for my Tongxin which averages around 5amps and ocassionaly might draw...

    £20 Ebike Battery

Ok as promised this is my thread on a £20 DIY ebike battery. I have been thinking about making one of these for a while. Just to remind you of my current DIY battery setup, see details here My current battery is based around A123, 3.3v, 2.3Ah cells. Its a 12s1p pack made up of two packs of...

    Cytronex

Indalo, My second ebike bike was a Cytronex albeit a second hand one. They are expensive but no more so than many other higher end ebikes. I loved it, they use excellent base bikes (mine was one for th Trek FX thingies) and ride really well. All the lights are integrated and the controls were...

Your battery details and cost of replacement

I will post later. The application of my packs is very limited in that my daily Cambridge city commute (10.5mile round trip) is pretty flat. For the last 27 months, 3000 miles almost daily I have been using a 12s1p pack made up of A123 2.3Ah cells into 2 * 6s1p DIY packs. I am now trying the...
