    Bike spotting

I saw a few whilst out in Switzerland, but not as many as I had thought that I would. Last year I saw loads, mainly KTM, Stromer, Specialised, Flyer and Haibike. This year it was one Trek fs eMTB, one Giant fs eMTB, and three de badged/stickered black fs eMTB's that I thought might have been...

    Bike spotting

I wasn't aware that Wander had posted in this thread. I happened to bump into Brightonebikes one sunny afternoon whilst out on the South Downs. Does that count. :) .

Just been put onto an interesting route app.

It just doesn't seem to load the routes fully, which is pretty frustrating. I have uploaded a couple of other routes, and only part of the ride length is being displayed. I guess that it could be the GPS, as just trying to record a ride in the first place causes issues with lost signal. As the...

Just been put onto an interesting route app.

Another interesting aspect is taking screen shots of a ride.

Just been put onto an interesting route app.

Just a bit of fun I guess, but it adds a new dimension to a ride. :) I like that you can also move the view around by dragging the mouse. This one shows my very off piste route up to Birg. http://doarama.com/view/904919 .

Here you go Blewit. :) I just searched for face blind seat release handle. The search also brought up the Lightening association, so I dropped them an email. :)

    Food and cycling

Slightly disappointed in you. :( You have neglected to state that it would have been washed down with a pint of Harveys. Not that I'm a massive fan of Harveys, but it fills an empty void. If I'm out for an evening ride, I might take a long some jelly beans or raisins, and always take my...

    Aircraft memorabila

Helping to clear out the belongs of someone who sadly recently passed away, I came across an article that left me saying wow! I'll let you read the inscription, but I have a question for those that might hold an interest in this kind of thing. The item which I presume is a copy of the handle...

    2017 KTM news...

Not actually true, but I do happen to think that Moustache bikes are very over priced, over rated and nothing that special.

    2017 KTM news...

You mean that it's neither one thing nor the other. In this context, pointless.

    2017 KTM news...

I agree. It just makes the frame big bulky and ugly. As I said a few days ago, I have yet to see a Moustache bike that I would want to own. They just don't do it for me.

    Hiya folks, lightweight ebike options

Don't forget that removing the battery to carry the bike, could save an additional 2.5kg-3kg off the overall bike weight. Not that this is suitable for your needs, but when it comes to weight, my KTM Macina Race weighs 18.9kg, which is pretty respectable in terms of lightness...

Getting ready for the 2016 Swiss Alps trip.

No they just happened to pull up at the same place that I did, then speed off to do their own thing. The place that I over took the girl pushing her bike is another example of a clip of film not showing the true gradient. anotherkiwi, I remain grateful that the first girl wasn't naked! :D...

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

There are some none death defying photos in the Swiss thread, and a clip to follow at some stage of a dodgy ride that I had to quit due to low cloud cover. I didn't tend to stop on the iffy sections, as I didn't want to chance stopping and loosing balance. The following is on the ride list for...

Getting ready for the 2016 Swiss Alps trip.

Final sunny instalment of the ten miles trip back down the mountain from Birg to Stechelberg. Sadly once a gain more walkers to contend with, the ride became more interesting for me at about the ten minute in point. The clip even has three girls on mtb's on it, although sadly in the case of the...

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

I didn't manage to get out for the shop organised mtb ride yesterday, but ventured out this morning, and typically after spending two weeks of riding very technical and narrow routes, often with a cliff drop to one or even both sides, I return back to the UK and took a very heavy fall, when I...

As much as I dislike many things about Martin's business practice, it isn't fair to call his business rubbish. It actually appears to very successful, and how he chooses to run it, is up to him. You have the freedom to shop elsewhere. :)

Getting ready for the 2016 Swiss Alps trip.

Part three, only one more to go. Ten miles of down hill can't be bad! Funny how where ever that you ride, you always somehow manage to get stuck behind a tractor!

Getting ready for the 2016 Swiss Alps trip.

Part two. The walkers became a bit frustrating, and I stop at roughly the 6.20 point, as what the clip doesn't show, is that the strip of concrete is seemingly almost vertical. I started to ride down it, but then decided to take a more zig zag route down to the side. My balls aren't that big...
