eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

One more from yesterday. The ride yesterday has got me thinking about possibly building a pedelec based upon something like a jump bike or trials bike. I possibly get as much, or if not more fun just out of riding up an over objects at walking pace, weaving in and out of tight trees and...

Some advance info on the latest 2016 Kudos models

The main reason that the colours don't work, is that they are trying to emulate the classic lines and colour scheme of many a lovely steel framed single speed bike. The styling of the Kudos bikes, especially in respect of having a rear cassette and rear derailleur, just don't work. Being blunt...

I only wish that the lighting had been better. It was just starting to get dark, and the poor old camera, is getting as old and temperamental as me! :D

I've been missing both my night rides and also riding in the rain, so decided to get my fix of both this evening. Sadly it stopped raining within just a few minutes of leaving home, so I had to settle for second best. I stayed reasonably local, and ventured into a piece of woodland that used to...

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

I don't seem to recall there having ever been any? I mean reviews by non Kudos owning forum members, not owners. Admin note for clarity: While this is a personal user account, the EddiePJ account has an association with real ale. If writing more rubbish than usual, he is posting under the...

New magazine...Watt bike, inside Twist and Go.

I begrudge paying a fiver plus for pretty much any magazine, given that 85% of the pages are either adverts, or double page photos to pad out the remaining 15% of written info. I'd certainly not ever buy an ebike magazine. I own one, and that is enough for me. Anything else can be found on here...

    Trial expansion of 'Like' facility

Just click on the word list that is also within the box. Take a look at the box in post one of this thread, and you will see it.

    Looking for a bike!

I really hate to say it, but that Oxygen looks a really well styled bike. Oxygen were/are in my list of five brands that I'd never want to try*, then they pull that one out of the bag. I'm also another that likes the idea of having a double or in this case what looks like a triple chainset...

I certainly know that area very well. I had in mind to go past the Vachery this coming weekend, as I assumed that the Rhodo's would be out, but looking at you photo, it appears not? I've had a couple of confrontations with walkers whilst being down in that area. Even with the main track through...

    Introducing the new Woosh Bermuda

It might not be my kind of bike, but then again the soon to be released Kudos range isn't either. That doesn't stop me from appreciating the type of market that any of these bikes is aimed at, and whilst I would try any of them, reviewing another Woosh wouldn't be the best of idea, simply for...

    Mopeds with large wheels.

Can't you just get a Category A1 small motorbikes Provisional licence and then get something like a Honda Innova. At least you could then keep up with traffic.

    SRAM eMTB specific drivetrain launched

At the time of having an 11 - 36 Shimano set up on the Lycan, I often felt that the 36t was still too high. I switched to an 11 - 42 set up thinking that it would be the answer, but oddly I hardly ever use the 42t. The lowest that I go is still the 36t. I'm using the 42 t on the hard tail...

Neutral try's an E-MTB and loves it.

Thanks for sharing. :) Certainly some lovely terrain to be riding.

    Power levels and cadence..

I certainly keep a far greater cadence rate when cycling on my own, than when out with pedal mtb riders. :) I generally also prefer to spin than grind away slowly. No idea what my average cadence rate is, but suspect that it is fairly high. .

    SRAM eMTB specific drivetrain launched

Each to their own, but as I don't have any issue running conventional mtb components, I won't be rushing out to change. Just out of interest, how are you finding the gearing etc on the fat bike? :) .

Range on a New 500mAh Bosch

And that is exactly how the Performance line feels against the CX.

Range on a New 500mAh Bosch

Phill, funny that you mention the CX motor. My performance Line motor on the FS is running a 15t front, and 11 - 42 rear and the hard tail with CX motor is running a 16t front and 10 - 42 rear, and yet eco on the CX motor feels the same as tour on the Performance line. So very much better. :)

Pedelecs frum makes me feel sick

Or it could be that they don't think that it gives enough of a cardiovascular work out. :)

Pedelecs frum makes me feel sick

Just for the record, on two separate occasions including within this very thread. KTM have been blamed for Dave's leaving, and this is not correct. If you look back to the following linked to thread, Dave stopped posting the moment that he tried to deny having written/said something. It wasn't...
