    The flatmate compliant charger

Thinking again, my wood and aluminium setup is way stronger than these High Impact Polystyrene sheets. I can't see how these sheets could end up with a stronger (or better) shell than what I have now. I'm going to use these sheets to wrap my set up and protect it from dust, wet and inconscious...

    The flatmate compliant charger

D8veh, I just received sheet from them at 1mm, 1.5 and 2mm. And these sheet are really not... solid at all. I was able to cut them easily with a pair of scissor!!! I think even cardboard is stronger than these sheets. I think only the 2mm one is potentially usable and almost as strong as...

    The flatmate compliant charger

Thanks D8v3h. I've already purchased few charger from BMSBattery but I didn't have time to tweak them. But the issue is that I still have to open the charger and adjust the voltage and current from it accordingly. As it is also much more noisy I'll have to mod the fan. So still a bit of work...

    The flatmate compliant charger

Guys, as "dangerous" or "innovative" as my charger look like... it's actually quite common. I had my inspiration and guide mostly from folks in endlesssphere and most members have this kind of setup... in a much more dangerous version. They open and put in series laptop, computer and meanwell...

    The flatmate compliant charger

I only opened the laptop power supply in order to replace the output wiring to the standard red and black. I didn't try to do anything else on the charger and now I completely sealed it again with my heatgun. So it should be quite safe. And this is a very low power charger, so people really...

    The flatmate compliant charger

ahah, My set up doesn't look safe... but it's actually quite safe!! The main charger is the laptop charger of 20V 3A output. So a maximum of 60W. (but I was able to pull 145W from it lol). The only area that can catch fire is between the laptop charger wire to the main plug. On all other side...

    The flatmate compliant charger

I drilled few holes on the aluminium sheet to allow the wires to go out: And you can see, the charger is now out of reach :) So I'm globally very happy with my new charger. I come back home, plug it and leave it charge overnight. And it stops annoying everyone because now it's completely...

My charger is holded by a thin aluminium sheet of 1.5mm drilled to a wood board: Note that it also helps on cooling the charger :)

    The flatmate compliant charger

Hello all, Just wanted to post today about my new charger set up. I was using initially a 200W charger (Kingspan) but it was damn noisy when charging. I had my flatmate telling me they can't sleep while the charger is on lol. And as the charger was on the floor, people would just...

    Twin motor, 2 wheel drive

lol. If only I had a 2WD I'm sure I'd have beaten the scooter and some motorbike!! But my Mac seems to make strange pinch noise with high RPM on 16" wheel. Will try a bit longer the mac to see if geared motor works fine with small wheels.

    I welded polycarbonate sheets

Yeah I tried for the bubble. I should cut the sheet to the right size before sticking it to the box. And try your technique to avoid bubbles :) But the finish isn't as nice as some nice paint. Maybe I'll try some carbon fiber sheet that are bubble free. Would maybe have a better finish.

    Twin motor, 2 wheel drive

Today I was on my Brompton on a red light next to a moped. I wanted to start much faster than him. I've put my throttle to the max to start and I started to wheelie, and when the front wheel came back to the ground it wasn't stable enough and I felt from my bike. My Brompton front bag has...

    Have been stolen... again!!!

Thanks for your kind words. I was thinking about going with Three Network again (or maybe GiffGaff) because I can have unlimited internet data. I use maybe 2GB or more internet every month. With Virgin it's going to be quite expensive. Someone told me that "http://uk.protectyourbubble.com/"...
