    Rocky Mountain Element Conversion

very very nice again D8veh. Very different to the bulky battery case I used to see in most ebike setup... but I understood it's a 36V12AH battery? So it's only 432wh? My brompton battery has 3 times more energy with a 20S 123 20 AH pack (66V20AH). Just wondering if you would be able to fit 3...

Brompton build with torque in mind

The wires inside the bag are still a furious mess, I'm not sure how I'm going to sort that out, but I think first I need a new bag/case for my battery and controller: And here's the best! I've managed to have my flasher working and added a 3 mode switch on my handlebar: Check the...

Brompton build with torque in mind

Finally received the new controller from Cellman, I hope this one isn't going to die.. :) Little update on my brompton with the good, the bad, and the ugly: Here's the ugly first: I applied some waterproof gel from amazon to seal my bag: GELERT TENT/GEAR SEAM...

    Rocky Mountain Element Conversion

Thanks for the insight. I just purchased Fablon sheet for my battery box. But I'm going to look at these solarfilm, it may be better adapted. BTW, why did you choose wood over plastic? Is it for the cost? Because with plastic you would be able to haver thinner and stronger case I suppose?

    Lyen & other programable controllers

Thanks Jerry. I suppose at the end there is no difference once the programming is finished. That's funny because I have Lyen and Cellman configurable controller. They both have a different name for the software and are both confidential. But they are exactly the same, I just configured...

    Rocky Mountain Element Conversion

Very very nice D8veh :) I was the same battery caaaase :) Mine is so ugly. Just seen you used wood board for that. How did you make it so clean at the end? Do you use some sort of plastic case and spray paint?

    Cycling under the rain

Hmm... I was thinking of something else. I thought it would almost be a fairing cap that you would put between the handlebar and you lol

The must have tools you haven't thought about

I use my WD40 mainly for cleaning and degreasing stuff. It has amazing cleaning power my other product don't have. When I finished, I use another product to lubricate. For me, it's still one of the most useful spray I have

    Cycling under the rain

That fairing stuff is precisely what I'm looking for!! Thanks for sharing! The biggest issue is that it's damn ugly and damn expensive lol, will try to see if other cheaper or better looking model exist. The senz umbrella is collapsible but I'm not planning to use it for now, I'm a bit...

    Cycling under the rain

Oh sorry flecc, but I thought your one was something like a second waterproof cloth, whereas the what d8veh said is simply something you put between you and the handlebar. But I have to look for the existing model and see if it can work :)

What's special of GT85 compared to WD40? I also found it really nice to clean stuff lol

    Cycling under the rain

Cape is a good idea D8veh, I'm going to check that. A fairing cover would be better of course, but it needs very specific tool or a big wallet :) Not sure what's the best solution yet..

    Cheap Brompton Conversion Kit?

Ok, if you cycle at legal speed (15mph), on throttle only you would use 15wh/miles. So for 40miles you would need 15wh*40miles = 600wh battery. Considering you would need about 20% additional power to preserve battery, a 720Wh battery would fit you. So for your case, a 36V20AH battery would...

Is it this? DUCT TAPE / GAFFA TAPE Large Pallet Box Full | eBay I would have welded the plastic box with my heat gun/iron for the battery case rather than using tape.

    Voltage reducers

I always have 1 or 2 spare battery with my galaxy. It's so annoying to have to walk or move with an additional cable on you. I just have my small battery in my wallet. And when I need it, I just plug it to my phone :) Then I charge back the empty battery to a dedicated charger at home. Never...

    Voltage reducers

I have this one: Zenid e-Bike Parts Super reliable and working with a very stable output. The only time it failed is when I did a reverse polarity on it and hear a POOOOF! It blew but nothing else in my bike died. :) Just bought another one and now everything is working fine ::cool:

The must have tools you haven't thought about

Some colleagues advised me about this stuff. But I still find it a bit expensive. I usually fix my stuff with super glue or heat gun glue lol. What do you usually fix? :)
