    A Plus Sized Headache!

Tubeless with repair kit would not have helped on a 10mm gash. Forget size, some tyres are easier to take off / put on than others so look for comments of ease of getting on and off. The park levers are superb and flex a little, i've never broken one. Finally, if all fails and you get...

2018 Bikes, but sticking with what i've got

Exactly how i feel, can't keep upgrading for sake of it and although battery integration is nice, it's still only cosmetic. I think there will be bigger improvements in motor and battery tech 2019.

    Error 500

I've only had this once. Restart system, if that doesn't work go home and dry all off and clean all battery / system electrical points. If that doesn't work bosch dealer.

Some good road bikes for 2018

I personally wouldn't buy an e-bike that i couldn't use with a dongle. On my old road bike i averaged about 18mph when i was reasonably fit over a fair distance, so a dongle is a must for me. Anyway, point is some really nice road bikes coming through.

Some good road bikes for 2018

Noticed that Focus and Cube have some really nice e-road bikes in the pipeline. Very hard to tell them apart from a standard road bike. I like speed dongles so if i added one that would make a great road / commuter bike and i can really see the point. With dongle i can cruise about 20-25mph on...

    Hard tail or full sus

Yes i've ridden plus sized and also a fat bike. I agree with you. The problem i had was two lower back operations, which meant i had no alternative but to go down the full suss route.

2018 Bikes, but sticking with what i've got

OK, so i like the integrated battery in down tube, but other than this no real battery performance change and certainly no improvement on current Bosch motor performance. I'll see what 2019 brings.

    Hard tail or full sus

a agree there will be some improvement, but on really rough fast stuff back end will still be twitchy:)

    If money was no object...

no, but the car will be be doubtful what power you'd actually put down without going straight into a ditch:(.

    Hard tail or full sus

More stability?, not from my experience. Had many a hardtail which come with their advantages, but for all round do it all mountain biking imho you can't beat a full suss. I can cover rough terrain much more comfortably and quicker than my friend on his hardtail (he and i both agree to this)...

    Something for the weekend sir

I do a fair bit of road / tarmac riding hence the extra noise would do my head in, but off road i can see some small advantages.

    Something for the weekend sir

Love the colour scheme and styling, not so keen on plus tyres / fork.

    Hard tail or full sus

Love some of these comments, and don't really disagree with any of them. Everyone has an opinion, and most will be right for them. The answer is simple for you and that is you don't really need a full suss, same as you don't really need the latest carbon wheels. Buy what you want and what your...

    Wheelsets

I went for dt swiss 240 hubs, hope flow ex hoops, customers black / red. I really wanted Enve's, but couldn't justify the price hike as the bike chassis and fork dimensions where changing width. Very happy with them.

    Bosch - New eMtb mode

Must say i'm with Eddie here. It's a software / firmware update (not upgrade). I wish to have full control of my speed modes, as i do with my speed dongle. If i can't ride my bike, change mode, gear and still find the right line i shouldn't be riding a bike ;). I have an automatic car, but at...

Dumb not to buy one :)
