    Now we are Three

Three years now since I bought my first ebike. I hadn't ridden a bike for 30 years and although I had seen a few electrics about I didn't know anyone who owned one. I had looked at a few Powerbyke shoppers in a local mobility shop but they didn't allow test rides so that was that. To cut a...

    Urban Mover - Not moving

Hi, checking the notes i think we already covered this, so assume the connections OK "should all go on and off as you rotate the wheel, so that they go to the same voltage when on, and down to 0v when off.Turn the wheel slowly and wait 'til your meter stabilises after each change from on to off...

    Urban Mover - Not moving

Thanks D8veh & Hech OK in order. The handlebar display runs from the yellow & black wires. The 4 way fully wired connector doesn't have a partner. The reading between the yellow & black is 26V, the red & black is 4.7V. I shorted the red & green but no motor. I also disconnected and...

    Urban Mover - Not moving

i think that the problem seems to be the motor itself. I do not know enough to attempt a repair so I will probably replace it. BMS have the following: Q100 24V250W-350W Rear Driving EBike Hub Motor - BMSBATTERY This is available in 201 and 328 RPM versions. I will fit a new controller KU63...

    Urban Mover - Not moving

"or the Klingons have targeted your controller with a tractor beam?" Today, that wouldn't surprise me at all. Probably changed the numbers on my lottery ticket too. As for the brake switches, I have disconnected them, so should not be a problem.

    Urban Mover - Not moving

Hi again. You are correct. Checked again and all combinations change from 4.9 to 0V as wheel turns. Measured on the motor side of the connection. Bill

    Urban Mover - Not moving

Hi d8veh Black/Red 4.7V Black/all others instant response on rotating wheelbackwards. Either drop from 4.6 to 2.5 V or increase from 0V to 3V approx. If i continue rotating voltage with either drop to 0V and then climb again or if starting at 0 will rise. Again thanks for your help. I will...

    Urban Mover - Not moving

Thanks for the quick and informative response. The torque sensor is a 12v device (supply) with 5v output, so the wires are Red (12v), black (0v), blue (signal 0 - 5v). To test it, you need to give it a 12v supply and then put your meter between blue and black, then apply a load to the crank...

All connections in/out controller checked and seem fine. 4. Brake switches. Disconnected these. Made no difference. should I have shorted these or left...

    A real spring day

So there we were. Lovely spring afternoon. Bright sun, not a cloud in the sky. Just the day to walk down to the Ham and try out our brand spanking new,Aldi-special, kites. As neither of us had flown a kite in 40 years this was a bit exciting. Kite No1 was taken out of the bag, assembled...

    Temperature Soars in MK

Well, not so warm here but glorious sunshine on ride home from work. Shame about the wind though: at one point I think I was actually stationary. Which was an improvement on going sideways. I seriously hope that spring has come at last. I am finding this a very long and cold winter. And we have...

    Two cows

You have two cows To help the poor cow get up the hill to the milking parlour, you buy it a small electric trolley. Your neighbour hitches the other cow to a carbon fibre trolley. To make it climb the hill faster he feeds it vast quantities of drugs and pays a Vet to ride on the trolley and...
