Haibike bosch2014 chain on front cog issue

I think the smallness does contribute, especially if mud is around. Someone said a while ago, small sprockets work fine on motorbikes. They do but motorbikes do not have derailleur gears that by their very design allows chain suck to happen. I'd have to ask the question, whats the benefit to...

    Feeling Guilty

You are not wrong there, extreme being the word. I've not seen someone so enraged before. Has to be fuelled by some sort of mental imballance. The security found no trace of the man or woman. I can only assume a major domestic. Very very nasty business. I was attacked many years ago and my...

    Feeling Guilty

I was met with a rather unusual scenario, driving home tonight. Rounding the last bend into Brighton marina a pickup truck undertook me, swerved across in front of me and onto the pavement. This being in an attempt to knock over a woman walking on the narrow road side path. He just missed the...

Bike Europe draws attention to illegal tuning kits

I think that it may be the pre pensioners that wish to go faster. ie those that need to get to and from work quickly. Most pensioners seem to have all day to potter so speed is probably not an issue. As far as the future of throttles, I think mobility scooters are to keep theirs.

Bike Europe draws attention to illegal tuning kits

The article is most useful to those looking for a dongled bike. It lists 3 dealers at the moment, I am sure that there must be more. Hopefully the'll add more on the next article. Perhaps it could also list manufacturers of dongles as well.

Why I like buying from Wiggle

Not wishing to defend Halfords, I'd have to ask the question, what % of chains are sold online to shop floor. My guess is probably 10 fold or more in favour of online. At end of the day, Halfords probably pay something like 50p for each chain so we're all ripped a little. Not forgetting tat...

Why I like buying from Wiggle

Do you really think that they are ripping you off? I believe that they are charging more to cover he costs of running their massive high street warehouses. Whilst I appreciate the price and convenience of online shopping I somehow feel that this along with social media etc we are becoming...

    More EU Harmonisation

What a great shame. That really is the end of safer motoring. My mates and I only ever ride our motorbikes over the channel as it the only place that we can ride to the road conditions and not someones idea of a safe speed. Over here, you have to concentrate on the speedometer, over there you...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Very interesting. I and a friend spent many hours in childhood not only playing but digging up spent shells on the downs. We were two kids aged around 10 at the time and my friend had a metal detector. We found an spot that I believe must have been used for military training . Each visit...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Taking my Camber, pedal only. I seem to be doing less and less electric at the moment, particularly off road. Bring him along always nice to meet new riders.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Hi Eddie Booked onto the Wiggle ride a while ago and actually forgot all about it. Would be good to ride together. Not sure that I can make the ride on the 21st as half term break. Look forward to it and speak closer to the time.

    Rockshox Reverb Seatpost

I had not appreciated that these had air springs. With the air valve being hidden in the bottom of the post I had automatically assumed a physical metal spring. Pressure now added and its back to normal. I have downloaded the service manual and now understand how the thing works. The one thing...

    Rockshox Reverb Seatpost

Not a bad suggestion but its actually fitted onto my no electric bike mtb. Very useful in the steep sections off road. Thinking of fitting one to my Haibike shortly but it would appear that they are not best for winter use. Think i shall wait till spring. Not sure what time stamp you can see...

I'm beginning to hate (some) cyclists

It a real shame, many people and families are missing out. On the odd occasion that I have seen a local dad on a cargo bike with a couple of small kids on the back, it has attracted nothing but admiration and nice comments from onlookers. I believe that he takes his kids home from school on it...

    Rockshox Reverb Seatpost

My reverb seat post is giving trouble in this cold weather. Being hydraulic, it would appear that near zero temperatures stop it working. It goes down under pressure but does not always come back up until things warm up or it is inverted. Anyone else using one of these? I guess that its caused...

I'm beginning to hate (some) cyclists

Flecc Perhaps, I did not word it very well. I used to work for Eurotunnel, spent a lot of time over there. The impression I got from the locals in the bars was that a bikes a bike. If theirs was missing upon coming out of the pub, another would do to get home. In the UK many cyclists talk...

I'm beginning to hate (some) cyclists

I'd be interested to see how many dutch riders commute, say 10 or 15 miles each way, 5 days a week. I am also curious as to if dutch cyclists ride for leisure in the same way that UK riders do. From the photo and others that I have seen, it would apear to me that they see their bikes as a tool...

    Fast Legal Bike

Flecc, totally agree with getting the kids cycling. In fact get them out house into the fresh air full stop. Not sure I can or will ever agree with your thoughts on assist speed. I do however wonder why so many appear run bikes that do not cutoff at the legal limit.
