Like most others I found the Summer Aldi fingerless gloves ridiculously small for the sizes stated. However the winter gloves sold last year seemed just right. Not the best winter gloves in the world but fine for somone like me who bottles out at about 2 degrees C and gets in the car.

If only we got faster as we got older :D

If you go for the Ridgeback get Cytronex to size you up for the right frame size and try the bike before you leave. The trip to the station is ideal stuff for this system and you'll only need to charge it every 3rd or 4th day. I don't think the extra RPM will make much difference over 4 miles in...

Looks like you're very hard on tyres. To be fair the roads round these parts aren't too bad and as long as I keep a look out for hawthorn trimmings, bits of metal, and broken bottles I'm ok.

I'm completely in agreement Phil. I've commented on this in another thread believing that some subsidy should be in order for people out in the sticks with no decent alternatives. My gripe, if you can call it that, is with large towns and cities where far too many monstrously large cars are used...
