Cycling is like brushing your teeth

Flecc. Good god are you sure it won't evaporate by then.:D

    Anyone seen this bill?

They were wrong on both counts. Children can't be prosecuted for cycling on the pavement. I never passed my cycling proficiency test and I can cycle on the road.

Cycling is like brushing your teeth

Quite right Flecc. Not that I'm into this guilt-trip "save the planet" nonsense. I'd feel the same even if the polar caps looked good for another 1000 years. Looking on the brighter side at least we're not going to suffer the burden of tomorrows latest petrol hike as badly as some wasters. I...

A blessing in disguise. Better that than on the way to work.

    Anyone seen this bill?

I don't believe the above is widely known Flecc. It irritates me no end that local papers and teletext letter writers are continually sniping at cyclists riding on the pavement. I'll accept it's a bit of a problem in parts of some cities but the locations of some of these writers indicate it's a...

    My First Electric Bike

I love looking at pictures of bike conversions. I'm quite keen to try one myself at some point. This one looks very good. For your 10 mile round trips, on the flat, it looks like it's really going to really deliver and be great fun. Should surprise a few road bike riders especially it being an...

why we should ride electric bikes

"why we should ride electric bikes" Perhaps this thread might have been more accurately titled "why we ride electric bikes" :D :( I can't help thinking this is tempting fate . I nearly transcended time and space with that one:

Thanks Flecc. Wonder why I couldn't work that one out

Cycling is like brushing your teeth

I thought so to. I'm not anti-car, which I think is a great vehicle for medium to long journeys, but we use them for far too many short journeys where a car is just overkill and is at it's worst in terms of both pollution and congestion. I also dislike the way large vehicles are still marketted...

Cycling is like brushing your teeth

No it's because I use an electric toothbrush with a rechargeable battery :D PS And I bought them both from the same company.

Excellent job. The cabling on your bike looks very neat and tidy. I can't even see cable ties. Thinking about it the ducting/trunking would have spoilt it - especially as the bike is blue.

Here's a usefull quote from Flecc regarding picture posting: "Two ways to post photos: First way: Click the paper clip button above the reply box and have a look at the photo size rules there for different file types. Then make sure the picture conforms to those rules, and preferably is...

44 mile round trip, couple of hills - possible?

But the odds are very strongly in his favour I'd suggest. I'm wondering what the range would be at 25MPH though.

44 mile round trip, couple of hills - possible?

I think that unless you're a strong cyclist you'll need a reliable e-bike with a decent/expensive battery. If I was going to be doing that distance I'd be looking at a Wisper 905 or a Kalkoff. For bikes only providing about 20 miles per charge you'll need to factor in a replacement battery at...

Trade secret eh. Not unreasonable though given it's part of the package. I know what you're after but couldn't find anything like it. Good luck.

Hi John - You could try emailing Mark and asking him.
