    Adding battery capacity

My solution is two entirely separate batteries. When the first expires, just plug the second one in. I do the same sort of thing on my electric boat.

    capes

Bought mine in Wilkinsons, yellow plastic. Didn't last too long, but it's only about £7. Always wore them in the 1950's, then they were a horrible oiled cotton and turned in to a rancid sticky blob after a while, but they worked and are still the best thing I reckon.

    Day trip to Dublin

I was only there for 8 hours so the report is limited to the City centre. 1 Not many bikes, but nevertheless a steady number in the sense that you could just about always see at least one person on a bike. 2 Everybody wore ordinary clothing, no lycras. 3 Out of what must have been 400 cyclists...

    Water condensation insight my headlight

CWAH, that is not condensation, it looks like rain has leaked in. Does the ring or bezel around the glass unscrew?

    Segboards, Are They Legal?

Saw a teenager outside my house on one of these. He didn't seem to be going anywhere, just played around on it within about a 5 yard circle. Seemed to be more like skating or dancing rather than travelling. He was rather good at it though.

How to replace an e-bike tube without removing the wheel.

I think that these tubes are get you home devices, and you will have to decide at the side of the road whether you are going to cut the punctured tube to get it out. (Or FLECC it!) Cars have that foaming puncture repair/re-inflate kit but I have never used it and have great doubts. I did wonder...

    Legislation and e-bike conversions

Exactly what do the Spanish Police expect you to produce? I came across this when I Googled EN 15194, As for marking: a) the frame must be visibly and permanently marked with a serial number at a readily visible location; b) the frame must be visibly and durably marked, with the name of the...

    Encounter with Police????

She seems to have a blue and white checkered band on her helmet and I think that is where she could face trouble. Polite is not Police, so although similar, she would probably get way with the jacket.

Electric Mountain Bikes: No one will buy one?!..

Dongled bikes are not ebikes. Shout and scweam as hard as you like, stamp your feet, put your fingers in your ears. Scweam really hard until you are sick. Makes no difference. Dongled bikes are motor bikes. Imagine you are the organiser of an "off" road cycling event and have insurance. You have...
