    My folded eBrompton (16" Wheels) is 35cm wide x 62cm high x 60cm deep. I keep it folded under a table in my workshop, it took me 20 seconds to measure the dimensions.

    So my DIY eBrompton is about 3Kg lighter, folds smaller, uses standard easily replaceable parts and cost around 1/3rd the price. $7,500 for a heavy 15Kg bike is a lot.

    The Grenfell fire was I seem to recall caused by a domestic refrigerator catching fire, apparently despite the electrical safety standards that apply to refrigerators and other domestic appliances.

    Absolutely agree. The public really do need reassurance that the issues are being dealt with in a practical manner and not simply ignored. The approach that some are taking as in 'no problem here' is reminiscent of Maggies approach to fire risks, in that Government should trust businesses...
