Failed on my first big hill

Look I do agree with all last few posts.. Yes for some ( as I,ve said before) is perfect. Yes it will climb given the criteria mentioned. And to be fair it was infact the Wisper Site itself that started the debate. Google"Wusper Torque" and first thing seen is " A real alternative to Bosch...

Also I notice your Riese and Muller e mtb has Bosch crank drive. Which one is best for climbing David. The Wisper Hub or the Riese Muller ( Bosch ) Crank. ??" In the blurb the Riese Muller mtb is aimed at serious moutain bikers going on challenging rides??

Failed on my first big hill

I see all that d8 but lets assume 2 scenarios. A) hub and crank are fitted with identical "nominal" 250w motors/ cintrollers/ pedal sensors.. Owing ti the greater range of ratios available to the motor in the CD it must benefit at some place in its range of use...In this case I,d hazard a guess...

Failed on my first big hill

David I never mentioned Wisper Torque, which by the way I have ridden, unfortunately not on steep enough hills or over a,long enough time to give an objective review. I offered to meet up with OP at a severe climb near us both to compare bikes .(Offer still stands. Winnats Pass) The thread...

Failed on my first big hill

I,m not asking for favours. I,m pointing out there is a vast amount of " information" and "evidence" contradicting the concepts generally held on here.. Both " screenshots" taken from highly regarded sources.( and different) I,ll post sources, thought it was on heading. ( ebike " an...

Seems you may well have convinced me, but not everybody sees it that way ???

Failed on my first big hill

Think unsprung weight might affect handling a bit... This years Mugen made little if any improvements in battery/ motor...did a fair bit of lightening and Showa developed a single sided ( sort of) front suspension...one side took stresses, other side dampening...lowered weight and unsprung...

    Mtb offroad Satnav / GPS

Thinking of new phone so it might be better going same route (??) Any problems with battery usage..( on phone !) Ps Thanks for info.. I tried Nokia , app seemed absolutely fine...but couldn't see screen on move ( or stopped in bright sunlight !) Do you get a track to follow without down...

Impressive, bike and rider.. Wonder what motor/ battery. Racing actually suits regen. If bike/car isn't accelerating, braking or cornering it ain't winning. Bikes in Zero are now most valuable !!

Failed on my first big hill

That's pure crazy... Its reckoned both with bikes and cars you have to get over 350bhp/ ton to crack 12 seconds.... Bike looks heavy.. All up 150 k ??? Must be hellish powerful...but looks like its doing it.I,d give him a run...fireblade 7... Tell you when I was impressed, first 100mph lap in...

Failed on my first big hill

But only on here could we argue about an argument ??? A good bike... Somewhere I there was a claim about an ebike ( based on push bike presumably) that could do standing quarter in 11 something seconds...now that takes some believing... My Westfield with 2.0 Zetec could just about manage 13...

Failed on my first big hill

Only conclusive if you discount a few opinions early on in thread... Later ones made more sense...but interpreting thread is like original argument...open to interpretation depending on what you want to believe...and probably thought in first place...its that momentum thing again...

Failed on my first big hill

Read all that...conclusion seemed to be there wasn't one ??? When I worked in industry it was taken as a truth that for higher efficiency...higher voltage..lower current...but more dangerous...but things move on..we didn't have time to debate as in link...needed to get it working yesterday...

Failed on my first big hill

On motor efficiency ...my response was missing point a bit.. Fewer windings/ higher current as almost got to be overall less efficient. Induced internal voltage will be very similar but heat generated / losses will always be worse with equal power ...heat waste is proportional to current...
