    18650 Cell Charger/Tester

That's a nice bit of kit. Wouldn't it be cool if they could manfacture something similar, but to test capacity at 12/24/36/48+ volts.

    Battery life please.

This might help, only six quid a tin. http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-maintenance/bike-cleaning/muc-off-bike-spray-500ml

    Battery life please.

I thought I would clarify from my post #2, that nearly every ride I do uses around 10Ah out of a 11.6Ah pack. Therefore a full charge is justified. Dave's advice in post #4 should be followed in your case.

    Battery life please.

Keeping the battery indoors is probably a good idea. It minimizes chances of condensation lingering inside the casing. As for charging, I put the battery on the charger after every ride. It means it's always fully ready for the next one. When I first got into electric bikes, I was like, 'what...

Battery voltage help - not charging

Long shot here, but worth a try. Plug the charger into the battery, before you switch it on at the mains. Also, try it the other way round, switch on at mains, then plug into battery.

    Inner tubes

Maybe it's just the Slime sealant, where you administer the liquid yourself, that causes problems with gunking the valve up. Haven't had any issues with them. A little on the pricey side, but saved me a big walk, so well worth it.

    Inner tubes

I've got pre-filled Slime tubes from Halfords fitted, and just need to pop a few psi in them every couple of months. http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-parts/inner-tubes/slime-schrader-bike-inner-tube-20-26 Saved my arse from a long walk home on one occasion :)

    Help me lose bike weight

If that's what I think it is on the back, a Warburtons bread tray, then try fitting something lighter. We've got the buggers at work and they weigh a ton.

    Awful brakes on my ebike

I don't think you'll have any issues fitting a good branded pad to those calipers. Modern pads tend to come with highly adjustable shim fittings, to allow the pad to be adjusted parallel to the rim. Plus, as you say, a wider pad will mean more contact surface of pad to rim, so should provide...

    Awful brakes on my ebike

If you could post a close up of your current caliper, then it might be easier for forum members to give you a definitive answer. I personally can't see an issue. IIRC, the Kool Stops and also Jagwire pads I fitted, were slightly curved to follow the curve of the rim. Therefore, width shouldn't...

    Awful brakes on my ebike

Give a different set of pads a go. If that doesn't work, you've only lost a few quid. I used to have dual compound rim pads, from Kool Stop, on a high powered bike, and they were much better than the standard ones that came with the bike. Kool Stop They are based in the USA, but look around...

    New Cyclamatic

An older version Cyclamatic was my first electric bike, so maybe I'm being a little biased here, but yes. It was only bought to be used as a getting to work back-up, but I ended up riding it for leisure. I rode it on terrains it wasn't really designed for, and it held up pretty well for such a...

Someone interested in building a high power electric bike, might get a bargain here!

Alas I won't be bidding for the kit, and the Cyclamatic is long gone. Thank you for reminding me about that bike Dave, it's what got me into electric bikes in the first place :)

    New 36v battery

Maybe they meant over the lifetime of the bike. If you were to keep it for 15 years, then that may well be true. If they meant for one battery, then they were talking out of their a**e. Soundwave's suggestion is sensible, as you will know what you are getting by letting BGA-Reworking recell the...
