Yoch 1300W mid-drive conversion kit, MEATY!

I can understand that statement, if the motors in question were from two different manufacturers, but surely Bafang measure their units in a similar fashion. The BBSHD is after all, just a beefed up BBS02.

Yoch 1300W mid-drive conversion kit, MEATY!

Yes, I understand that internal gear ratios, stator windings and other factors can make a difference to the output torque, but double... Really?? The BBSHD has more torque than my Toyota Aygo. Probably why I have to rev the b****cks out of it to get anywhere lol.

Yoch 1300W mid-drive conversion kit, MEATY!

I'm not looking to argue here, but I thought torque was proportional to current, so how have Bafang doubled the torque with only another 5 amps?

If that figure is to be believed. I personally think that amount of torque would destroy the drive-train very quickly.

    Moderation?

Mmmmmmm, could be a browser thing. I use nothing but Firefox, although I haven't noticed it happening recently.

    Moderation?

The moderation of certain key words appears to be entirely automatic and requires no human input. Although, I should imagine Scott or Helen at some stage, had to input some key words into the database for the system to work correctly. It can be irritating, especially when certain words are hot...

Is there like a double safety feature when charging?

I think I worded this thread totally wrong. It should have been more directed at the info in post #3. Anyone know why one has a fan and the other doesn't need one?

Is there like a double safety feature when charging?

I'm probably being overcautious Dave. I've just replaced my 11.6Ah 29E 48v dolphin pack with a 12Ah 30Q 48v one. Even though they are similar battery packs, the chargers are different. The previous one being a 54.6v 2A non fan plastic charger, and the new one being a 54.6v 2A metal cased with...

Trade Members Being Too Overtly Salesy in 'What Bike?' Threads?

Maybe, drop them a personal e-mail that you are talking about them, and they may get the hint and back off a little. Wouldn't be fair to name and shame them on this thread though.

Is there like a double safety feature when charging?

I was wondering, when charging my 48v pack, whether the charger provides a safety cut-off at 54.6v, as well as the battery BMS. In a hypothetical situation, where the charger didn't cut off, would the BMS kick in to save the day?
