    Preference or Alternatives

I'm another happy Salisbury owner. I tried the Mistral before deciding, but found it was a lot harder to pedal the Mistral without batttery assist than the Salisbury which is relatively easy [I think it's because the Mistral uses a brush motor?]

    Death by Careless Driving case.

I often wonder if judges confuse cyclists with motor cyclists who are required to wear helmets. It would help make sense of some of their decisions!

    Electric Showroom

Have you read their "Stamp of Assusurance"? "We personally test ride every electric bicycle prior to shipment and, monitor the supply chain throughout, from manufacture right through to our" - that's it, finish! My bet is "our" is meant to be "you" but they couldn't be a*sed to do the...

The exact same thing has just happened to me - same bike, same battery! I,ve had the bike from new and it can only have covered about 100 miles top. I haven't really used it much last few months because of the dark and wet weather but I did give the battery a boost couple of weeks back and...

    Who writes this stuff?

Unlike "dead" languages like Latin where usage and meaning are fixed for all time, modern languages [like English] are "alive" and constantly take on new usage and forms which is why there are more words and definitions in the OED now than ever before. It is also why Latin is commonly used in...

    Who writes this stuff?

Cognition is perfectly good English and is in perfect context in the article. The dumbed down language used by the tabloid comics typically read by the majority of adults throughout the UK as "Newspapers" has a lot to answer for imho. Ok, rant over :)

Cycling on Pavements - Is it really that bad?

When I started cycling again it took me some time to become accustomed to the volume of traffic [and I know how little we have up here compared to some parts of the south!] so I did make use of the pavements, although I wasn't happy doing it. I'm much more confident now but there are some...

New ebike with older Phylion battery

Just a thought - my Vectra has a jacket fitted round the battery as standard [presumably to keep it insulated from cold air] if they do it for cars why don't they do the same for bike batteries?

Couple of ebay bikes - opinions please? :)

Can't agree with that because I bought a mobile phone which turned up with a badly scratched sceen. I contacted the seller who didn't want to know so then I contacted Paypal and when he didn't give them an adequate explanation they refunded my money no probs [and he was a power seller who used...

    A simple mod!

Just been looking at the quick connect/disconnect lead to the motor on the Synergie - why don't all electric bikes have this? Anyway, it looks like the simplest of mods and I can't think of any reason not to do it - do you?
