    Bosch 2020 Motor

Very interesting! I was vaguely thinking of getting an ALP for touring, but I'm not in a rush, so I think I'll wait and see what 2020 brings!

Bigger front ring - Bosch Active Cruise 2014

Sounds chilly, I think I'd be better in my motorbike leathers TBH!

Bigger front ring - Bosch Active Cruise 2014

Those are really interesting figures, thanks for putting them up. I do have a CX powered bike as well but that has knobblies on. I hadn't appreciated how much the active cruise assist would taper off, or the extra power required to achieve a small increase in top speed, so we'll have to see...

Bigger front ring - Bosch Active Cruise 2014

I can't remember my normal max speed, but say for instance it's 20mph and I'd like to be able to maintain 25mph for a mile or two to get a section of fast road out of the way, how would that work out? When I next get a chance to go out, I will see what my actual top speed is, and also how much...

Bigger front ring - Bosch Active Cruise 2014

I'm afraid that's gone woosh over my head. Does it also account for the grunt that I'm adding? Doesn't the motor just need to pick up the difference between mine and my OH's power output plus a bit extra for my bike being less road biased? Everyone else seems to get by with just changing the...

Bigger front ring - Bosch Active Cruise 2014

I have a proper mtb for off road, so this bike is for road riding. What I'm finding at the moment is that on the steep bits, my OH goes slow (obviously), and if I stay with him, I feel that I am turning the cranks too slow (even in bottom gear), and I worry that I will overheat the motor as they...

Bigger front ring - Bosch Active Cruise 2014

It feels to me that it is the cadence that is the limiting factor rather than the power (OP edited to clarify). There is apparently 48Nm of torque available to me, so I think that should be enough.

Bigger front ring - Bosch Active Cruise 2014

Hi all. I'm really not techie (but I can work my way through stuff slowly and dilligently) so would appreciate a little guidance. I'm planning on changing the front chain ring on my 2014 Cube Reaction Hybrid Pro (specs) from 15t to 18t to increase my speed on the flat as I have a job keeping...

Badassbox 4 for Bosch - recommended?

Thank you... Added to watch list, I'll definitely put a bid on that.

Badassbox 4 for Bosch - recommended?

My 2018 bike is nearly 18 months old (and barely used cos I use the dongled 2014 instead - what a waste!) so the software is old, thankfully!

Ha, you got them to put the subtitles on! Nice one ;)

Badassbox 4 for Bosch - recommended?

Ok cool. I'm not confident enough in my mechanical skills to mess around too much on a bike that is still under warranty, so that settles it :) Thank you.

Badassbox 4 for Bosch - recommended?

Hi all. I know dongling is a contentious subject, but I can't keep up with my OH on the road otherwise, so it's either dongle or don't ride out. I'm looking at a badassbox due to the ease of fitting. It's £138 on Amazon (ouch): badass for Private Terrace 4 Tuning, Black, One Size...

Recommendations for rear rack & bag?

Thanks, I've also found some previous discussion on the subject here: https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/purchased-a-2018-cube-reaction-race-500.29316/page-4

Recommendations for rear rack & bag?

Thank you all for your bag recommendations :) I don't think a bigger seat pack would work due to the weight of the battery, unfortunately. I need a rack first tho, any tried and tested recommendations for a rack for a Cube 29er? Ta!

Recommendations for rear rack & bag?

This one? https://www.evanscycles.com/fwe-top-rack-pack-EV180219 They seem unsure if a Bosch battery will fit - the length looks as though it may just, but one of the questions implies that it won't. I don't suppose you've tried it, looking at your bike list?! Thank you :)

Recommendations for rear rack & bag?

I've just come back from Mallorca, where I hired a trekking bike which had a rear rack. It was quite a revelation to be able to leave the rucksack behind! Does anyone have any recommendations for a rear rack and bag that I can fit to my 2014 Cube reaction hybrid pro which will be able to take...

    Fab 110km ride today - Carmarthenshire/Swansea

They're really nice backpacks, but the price is a bit ouchy . Is it better to try to carry the spare battery on the frame if at all possible, or doesn't it really make much odds?

    Fab 110km ride today - Carmarthenshire/Swansea

Feeling really chuffed, so just want to share the love :D I've been wanting to do this circuit for a while, since looking on the Sustrans website and seeing that you can pretty much do a circular route from Cross Hands, through Ammanford, Brynamman, Ystradowen, Pontardawe, Llansamlet, Swansea...
