    Bike and Electric Motor Kit

Hi Dill, Have a look at this thread, has some pictures. Bike was £255 from Halfords. Ezee Kit would put it over your budget but its a good strong motor and way more battery than you'll need for 6 miles. However electric biking has a certain addictive nature and I bet you end up going much...

    What lights do you use

I agree Mike. I've got the 36v rack light that came with the Ezee kit. Plus an led from Lidl, that came with a reasonable rechargeable front lamp, mounted on the rear fork. Plus a little round flasher mounted on the saddle stem. I think it must cause quite a glow because I do hear cars...

Cyclotricity Sahara or Woosh Santana CDL?

Hi Jefner, welcome to the forum. I can't speak for either specific bike, however my wife does have a Woosh Big Bear LS. So this is hub drive rather than crank drive on the Santana. However the frame looks just about the same. This is very definitely a Dutch style upright riding position, the...

    Hi from the Peak District!

Hi Pest !, Welcome to the forum. You're list of machines is impressive. I'm a one bike man which is a conversion on a Carrera hybrid. This may be one way you can guarantee the frame quality whilst being able to pick the battery capacity that best suits you. The conversion itself can be quite...

    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

I fitted an ezee kit to a Carrera crossfire 3. Bike started at 15.5Kg (it had 24 gears) and ended up at 28\Kg after fitting kit, panniers, lock, waterbottle, mudguards, stand and lights. The bike itself feels great, responsive and the quickfire gear change is good. Disc brakes took a some...

Can I match a Woosh and an Ezee?

Understood John, that's why I said I'll be keeping the current kit for as long as it can be kept going.

Can I match a Woosh and an Ezee?

Thanks John, that's clear now. I shall give mode 4 a try next time we go out together. Though I shall default to mode 1 when by myself. Post 01/01/2016 Mode 2 will be the only legal mode for eZee bikes and kits that are sold after that date, the throttle will only go to 6 Km/h for walk...

Can I match a Woosh and an Ezee?

Hi John, Just read about mode 4 in the manual. Not sure how that would work, what does EAF mean? Is it that I hold down button to enter setup, then press up 3 times to get to mode 4? How do I then get out of setup?

Can I match a Woosh and an Ezee?

So Andy at Woosh says they only have one version of software for this display. Is there no other way? Am I doomed to cold rides or stony looks from she who must?:( Must I put 26" wheels on my lovely hybrid? Maybe I should just get a tow rope:D

    Kettwiesel Trike Conversion

I have used the Ezee torque bracket on my conversion. It comes with three pieces, one for the axle and two, of different lengths, to reach the mudguard lug. I put it on with the mudguard stay and a longer bolt. It's been fine and that's with the much bigger ezee motor.

    New folding bike supplier

That's the weirdest looking bike I've ever seen. What does it look like when folded? Maybe it's assembled on the old Austin Rover site:rolleyes:

Can I match a Woosh and an Ezee?

Yeh, I realise wheel size would be a factor, I think the motors are fairly similar. Was hoping to tweak the assist on the BB to match. tbh it tends to produce a bit more grunt on hills so starts to catch up then. I'll try asking Woosh.

Can I match a Woosh and an Ezee?

I have an Ezee front drive fitted to my 700c Carrera. My wife has a Woosh Big Bear LS that has 26 inch wheels. We both love our bikes, but here's the rub. When we are both in power setting 2, my bike quickly leaves the Bear behind without any effort from me. i.e. I'm just rotating the pedals...

    Slow pedal assist:

I don't know this particular bike, but.... Have you tried a lower gear so that the start up cadence is higher? The other trick is to blip the throttle as you start to pedal, power should continue when you let go of the throttle.

Yes, just down the road mate, Newcastle Emlyn.

A new lease of life with electric, thought my days were up!

Hi Smart (!), welcome to the forum. I too have dodgy knees, although not as bad as yours, they can catch me out without warning. I have a front hub conversion that has PAS and a throttle. If my knees do start playing up I can ease back on the effort and merely rotate the pedals and keep going...

    Converting a Carrera Crossfire3

The overall weight included panniers, mirrycle, water bottle, lights and the crivit lock which is about a Kg in itself. Been out on first good ride. The bike itself feels solid, no rattles or clangs anywhere. Handling feels much more nimble than my old machine with quick response to direction...
