Well, the last paragraph was certainly a puff, but it got me to go and look at the ezeebike site, which in turn led me to the UK dealer, for a look at the battery prices. If those are half-price, I'm a Dutchman.

So, each battery is turning its toes up after approx 90 cycles of use... just a thought; are they SLAs by any chance, and do you run them right down?

If I wanted to keep the rigid forks, that's all I needed to do. Of course, if I could have found a 1" threaded head tube long enough, that's all I really needed to fit the Bombers, but they're now like hen's teeth. No matter, none of the spare bits will go to waste - there's always another project.

A front drive is certainly guaranteed to give you some heart-stopping moments at least, in slippery conditions. It's relatively easy to recover from a back wheel stepping out under power, sometimes you just do nothing and it recovers grip, but a front wheel sliding to the side very often end up...

A car is a stable platform, but a two-wheeler is inherently unstable. From years of riding powered two-wheelers, I know what tyre I prefer to break away, and it isn't the front.

If they had a trained pitbull guarding the bikes, that would be customer service. Note, the pitbull doesn't have to be canine - a thick-necked bouncer type would be just the thing.

I note the claim for a "30 minute" conversion time. It might be an idea to demonstrate this quick-sharp conversion technique at the fairs, shows, etc, as it would be a convincer for some people.

What I meant was, it would be a trivial matter to attach a piece of alloy tube spanning the bar end extensions - like a rally bar. Now I think of it, I've a mind to do that.

I'll have you know my CB is a very fetching shade of light green. With dirt. I can't say the colour of a bike has ever bothered me, but I'd draw the line at a pink one, I think.

Now that's a good idea. How about those bar-end forward extensions, joined across by an alloy bar?
