that break looks easy to repair. You need a scalpel knife to open up the black outer insulation, 15mm of 2mm heat shrink tubing to repair the broken wire, 6cm of 15mm heatshrink tubing to reseal the black outer insulation and a 15W or 25W Antex soldering iron. Have you got all that? I can post...
I'll replace the SR2 set with something else to match the rear wheel with same tyre with reflective band, rim and spokes. The problem is spoke length, can't re-use the SR2's rear spokes. Originally, I was looking for a lightweight crank drive to keep the Giant SR2 wheelset. Now I am going to...
yes, I spent so much time fiddling with the pedelec sensor. It was getting dark by the time I finished making the new strap for the throttle, I forgot to change the tyre before going out. I'll sort the tyres out tomorrow.
a 49mph folding bike? You need a lot of power to reach 50mph. That half frame fold clamp is going to kill you at that sort of speed. The guy is nut.
This is a 50mph bike:
Motor: 12Kw
Brakes: dual circuit hydraulic
Battery: 1.5KWH

I'll take my Giant + Woosh out for a ride and post some pictures tomorrow. It's fitted with a 15AH HL battery at the moment. Total weight: just under 16kgs. To do: replace the battery and the BB with a torque sensor.
@Yamdude Re my D5 conversion project.
I've got my new wheel. Weight: 4.2kgs replacing the 1.95kg D5 rear wheel. So the motor only adds 2.2kgs. Same black spokes, new wheel looks OK on the bike. Total bike weight at the moment: 12.5kg.
Will post picture later. So far so good. Only have to get a...

and will be called the Sirocco SX2 The 120mm SWXH on the Sirocco has been replaced by the much more powerful 145mm SWX02. The 13AH battery has been moved to the downtube to improve on weight distribution. It'll be available next...
go for the NCX, it can double the time you spend on the saddle. When you hit a bump, your back won't go up and down, the saddle moves backwards - that's the clever bit. Your back hardly notices the bumps and road surface irregularities at all.
