Hi there newbie wanting a new e bike......

Have you considered building with a kit? Not as hard as you might think, and you can get exactly what you want. Basic kit will cost you around £400-500, and will get you a range of 20-40 depending on precise spec. If you don't want to go the DIY route, the Kudos Tornado is pretty discrete. It...

    No battery!

I only asked about the gents bike, but I notice in the description of the ladies bike that 'the battery is dead and needs recharging', implying the seller has no charger. Definitely TWOCed.

    No battery!

I asked the seller about charger. He responded: "The previous owner was unaware where either of these items were (the battery and charger)". It possible that this guy has purchased from whoever stole it, but it does seem most likely that its stolen.

    Cheap Chinese vs Cheapish Conversion?

GRP is Glass Reinforced Plastic, or fibre glass. As far as understand it, comparing Li-ion to LiFePo4: LiFePo4 slightly more expensive, but will last for more discharge cycles. I think it has a higher energy density, but is more likely to burn your house down. Charging seems to more of a...

    Cheap Chinese vs Cheapish Conversion?

The major advantage of conversion is that you can get exactly what you require. The major difficulty is deciding what you want. Before considering converting, you need to have an idea of the following parameters: Range, speed, power, terrain, budget, style, luggage, weight(yours), weight(bike)...

A couple of years back as a first step into electric bikes I purchased a Hill Topper kit form Clean Republic. I purchased the 24v/7ah SLA version of the kit. It was ok, but I wanted more range from it, so I upgraded the battery to 14ah. I then concentrated on my other bike, and the HT sat...
